Licence conditions (25)

General Conditions
The Licensee will ensure that one member of the Westleton Village Hall Committee attends the one day course on ‘The Responsible Retailing of Alcohol’ and that member will brief the rest of the Committee.
The Premises Licence will only permit the sale of alcohol at events run by or in conjunction with the Westleton Village Hall Committee. The sale of alcohol under these circumstances will be supervised by one or more members of the village hall committee.
The supply and sale of alcohol will stop 30 minutes before licensable activities are due to end to allow a ‘drink up’ time.
Alcohol will not be sold to persons who appear to be drunk.
Alcohol will not be sold to or consumed by people who appear to be under the age of 18 years.
The Licensee will provide and maintain signage on the premises requesting that patrons leave the area quietly and remain quiet while outside during an event.
The Licensee will not permit persons who hire the hall to sell alcohol unless they hold a Temporary Event Notice (TEN). The hirer will be required to abide by the conditions of that TEN and by the conditions of the hall’s premises licence covering alcohol sales.
In the absence of a TEN, persons who hire the hall will be able to supply alcohol free of any charge. Persons attending such events will be allowed to bring their own alcohol drinks.
The Licensee will require any person hiring the hall for an event not run by or in conjunction with the village hall committee and where alcohol drinks are available to abide by the conditions set out in the Conditions of Hire.
The Licensee will ensure that any persons hiring the hall will agree to accept the Conditions of Hire by requiring them to sign the booking forms. Crime and Disorder
The Licensee will ensure that no money or alcohol is stored at the hall. Notices to this effect will be displayed outside the hall.
Disorderly conduct on the premises will not be tolerated and any person behaving in a disorderly manner will be asked to leave immediately.
There will be no drink promotions such as “happy hours” or discount offers at any time. Public Safety
The Licensee will ensure that the following systems are maintained and inspected by a suitably qualified professional person in accordance with the appropriate British Standard an at intervals recommended in national guidance, and will keep the records of such inspections available for inspection by authorised officers on request:  Portable fire fighting equipment
The Licensee will ensure that the emergency procedures for the hall are given to all regular users of the hall and to persons who hire the hall. Prevention of Public Nuisance
The Licensee will ensure that alcohol sales stop 30 minutes before licensable activities end to allow a ‘drinking up’ period.
The volume of the amplification system shall be strictly controlled so that noise levels are non-intrusive at nearby residential properties.
The windows to the function room used for the playing of music shall be kept closed when musical entertainment is taking place.
Except for access and egress the external doors to the function room shall be kept closed when musical entertainment is taking place.
In the event that additional ventilation is necessary to the function room, a detailed scheme shall be submitted to the Environmental Protection Section and only an approved scheme shall be fitted. Protection of children from harm
The Licensee will seek PASS accredited proof of age cards, photo-driving licences or passports as proof of age evidence from any person who appears to be under the age of 21 and who is seeking to purchase or consume alcohol on the premises.
The Licensee will ensure that alcohol will not be available at events run exclusively for children.
All children under 16 years old must be supervised by a suitable responsible adult at all times.
Where films shown indicate an age restriction, that restriction will be adhered to at all times.
