The premises will operate primarily as a café, delicatessen and retail premises with alcohol sale ancillary to food service and occasional events. Management and staff will promote the licensing objectives through responsible operation of the premises, staff training, regular supervision and adherence to all relevant health and safety and licensing legislation.
CCTV will be installed and maintained at the premises. Staff will be trained in responsible alcohol retailing and the prevention of underage sales. A refusals register will be maintained where appropriate. The premises will operate a Challenge 25 policy and staff will cooperate with Cumbria Police and all responsible authorities where required
Appropriate fire safety equipment and procedures will be maintained at the premises Emergency exits will be kept clear and staff will receive appropriate health and safety training. The premises will be always maintained in a safe condition for customers and staff at all times.
Background music levels will be controlled to prevent nuisance to neighbouring properties. Customers will be encouraged to leave the premises quietly and responsibly. Waste disposal and deliveries will be managed appropriately, and the premises will operate with consideration to nearby occupiers and the surrounding area.
The premises will operate a Challenge 25 policy. Anyone appearing under the age of 25 will be required to provide acceptable photographic identification. Children will be supervised by responsible adults whilst on the premises
