Where regulated entertainment is to be provided at any time after midnight, noise from the provision of regulated entertainment shall be inaudible at the façade (façade meaning the elevation or elevations of buildings used for habitation that face towards the licensed premises) or nearby residential premises.
All staff normally employed at the premises to sell alcohol shall receive regular training in the responsible retail of alcohol on induction and thereafter not less than twice per year. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall on request be made immediately available to any Police officer, community support officer Authorised Person. The training shall include: a. operation of the age verification scheme (Challenge 25); b. types of acceptable ID; c. method of recording challenges; d. likely consequence of making an underage sale; e. refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk.
The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made; d. all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days; e. CCTV recordings shall be made available for viewing by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand; f. the original recording, or a copy, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person; g. copies of CCTV recordings to be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software; h. no alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
All customers attempting to purchase alcohol who appear to be under the age of 25 shall be required to produce a valid proof of age. Acceptable forms of identification are; a proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo, an EU photocard full driving licence, passport, and any other form of identification approved in writing by the Licensing Authority.
Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance and inside the premises near the point of sale.
A refusals book, or similar record, shall be kept at the premises in which must be recorded forthwith the date, time and circumstances under which any attempted purchase by a young customer has been refused. This book or other form of record, must be made available for inspection by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
There shall be no new admissions to the premises after 23.30 hours on any night and adequate measures shall be taken to ensure compliance with this condition.
