Film Exhibitions
The admission of children, that is persons under 18 years of age, to the exhibition of any film shall be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) or by the London Borough of Bexley.
Together with for the purposes of paragraph 6(5) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 all other licensable activities which may be carried out at the premises by virtue of the justices licence issued under the Licensing Act 1964 and existing as of the date of this licence, which include but may not be limited to the following:
Private entertainment, that is to say dancing and music, may be provided and promoted for private gain
No customers carrying open bottles upon entry shall be admitted to the premises;
Alcohol and other drinks shall not be removed from the premises in open containers save for consumption in any external area provided for that purpose;
Prominent, clear and legible signs shall be displayed at all exits requesting customers to leave quietly, with due regard to residents;
Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises so as to cause a nuisance to nearby properties;
The openable folding front windows shall be closed during the night hours (23.00 hours to 07.00 hours the following day);
Waste materials shall not be placed in the external bins from 21:00 hours to 07:00 hours the following day; and
The doors (excepting any that have to be kept locked open for public safety reasons) shall be closed from 20:00 hours except for access and egress.
The premises licence holder shall adhere to JD Wetherspoons' Code of Conduct for Responsible Retailing as amended from time to time.
The premises licence holder will ensure that there are sufficient staffing levels including managers to encourage responsible behaviour on the premises at all times.
Non-alcoholic beverages including soft drinks, drinking water, coffee and tea shall be available at all times sale by retail of alcohol is carried out at the premises.
The premises licence holder will ensure that all staff at the premises are trained in accordance with JD Wetherspoon PLC training procedures. In particular the premises licence holder will ensure that all employees are trained in their responsibilities to prevent alcohol being sold to anyone under the age of 18 years, or to anyone who appears to be intoxicated, or to anyone who is trying to purchase alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 years or on behalf of an intoxicated person.
The premises licence holder will risk assess the need for door supervisors at the premises on a regular basis upon agreement with the police.
At all times when the premises operate under the terms of this licence the CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images of the public area in the shop, including the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and shall be made available for viewing by any police, community support or authorised person upon demand.
An original, or a copy, of CCTV recordings shall be provided upon demand to any police, community support or authorised person. Copies shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason unless the police have given their prior consent
The premises shall operate in accordance with the 'Challenge 21' scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 21 years of age shall be required to provide ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises and the only ID accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport c. UK photo driving licence; or d. other form of ID as agreed with the Licensing Authority
Suitable food and non-alcoholic beverages shall be available at all times any person under the age of 18 years are allowed on the premises
Where regulated entertainment is to be provided at any time during the night hours (23.00 hours to 07.00 hours the following day) noise from the provision of regulated entertainment shall be inaudible at the façade (façade meaning the elevation or elevations of buildings used for habitation that face towards the licensed premises) of nearby residential properties.
