CCTV shall be provided in the form of a recordable system, capable of providing pictures of evidential quality. Cameras should cover the entrance and exit and where sale/supply of alcohol occurs. Equipment shall be kept in good working order, correctly showing time and date. Images shall be kept for a minimum of 31 days and handed to enforcement authorities on request. Appropriate signage informing customers of the CCTV shall be in prominent positions in the store. A member of the Management team shall be on the premises at all times that the store is open. Checkout area shall be constantly manned whilst the store is open. All staff shall be trained and regularly refreshed in the corporate ""Think 21"" Policy. Staff shall be trained to look at the customer and ""Think 21"" when selling age restricted products. A till prompt shall appear in the initial sale of alcohol that will remind the seller of the Think 21 policy and remind staff not to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of
When alcohol is refused by the seller after the product has been scanned the refusal shall be recorded in a report that can be produced at store level on a weekly basis. The store shall display signage around the premises informing both staff and customers of ""Think 21"" policy. All exit doors shall have simple fastenings that do not require a key and that shall include the side exit gate from the service yard. Any recommendations that are made when the Building Regulation approval is sought shall be included.
