A ?Challenge 25? policy shall be operated at the premises at all times. Identification checked as part of this policy should consist of either a passport, photographic driving licence or a PASS approved proof of age card. No other form of identification shall be accepted
All cashiers at the premises will be trained in the ?Challenge 25? policy.
Publicity materials notifying customers of the operation of the ?Challenge 25? scheme shall be displayed at the premises, including a ?Challenge 25? sign of at least A5 size at each point of sale.
A refusals register is to be completed every time a refusal is made to someone because they appear to be under 25 in a format agreed by Kent Trading Standards. The following information will be recoded in this book: date and time of refusal, item refused, name or description of person refused sale, reason for refusal and the name of the staff member making the refusal. This register shall be made available to any Police Officer, Local Authority Licensing Officer or Trading Standards Officer at any reasonable time.
The refusals register should be checked and reviewed weekly by the Designated Premises Supervisor and a signature applied to the book to verify this.
CCTV is to be installed in agreement with the police and will cover all exits and entrances, the point of sale and any other public areas of the licensed premises.
All CCTV cameras and recording equipment, including video taped if used, are to be well maintained, which will be auditable.
Any recording made via the use of CCTV will be retained and stored for a minimum of 30 days and made available to any police officer, Local Authority Licensing Officer or and Trading Standards Officer on request or in any case within 48 hours of a request being made.
There will always be a personal licence holder present at the premises whenever alcohol is on sale.
