Licence conditions (15)

Alcohol displays shall be located only in an area within sight of staff agreed by Police and highlighted in yellow on the plan attached as Annex 4 to this licence.
The CCTV system shall be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times. There shall be a minimum of 8 CCTV cameras inside the premises. The CCTV system shall make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and of the purchasers of the alcohol as well as coverage of the alcohol stock. The CCTV recordings shall show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made and all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days. CCTV recordings shall be made available for viewing by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand. The original, or a copy, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person in accordance with the provisions of the relevant data protection legislation.
2 CCTV cameras shall be installed outside the premises, to the satisfaction of the Police, to allow staff at the till point to monitor any activity outside the store.
All individual containers of alcohol (or outer packaging of multipacks where individual containers are inaccessible) shall be marked with the Ultra Violet (UV) mark RY46, which must be applied adjacent to the barcode by means of a UV label or UV marker pen. In all cases, the mark or label shall be present and legible whilst the container is exposed for sale at the time of the sale.
All staff employed at the premises to sell alcohol shall be trained on induction, and every six months thereafter, in responsible alcohol retailing and records of this training shall be kept and supplied to the Police, community support officer or the Licensing Authority when requested.
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years and over, anyone who appears under 25 years of age will be asked for ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises.
The only proof of age accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a proof of age card bearing the "PASS" hologram logo, a passport, or a photocard full driving licence.
A refusals book shall be kept at the premises in which must be recorded forthwith the date, time and circumstances under which any attempted purchase by a young customer has been refused. This book must be made available for inspection by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person.
A book, or other form of record, a version of which must be in English, shall be kept in which shall be recorded the date, time and circumstances of any disorder, ejection or other relevant incident that occurs on the premises. This book, or record, shall be kept on the premises at all times they are open and shall be made available for inspection immediately upon demand by any police or community support officer or authorised person.
No sale of alcohol shall be made unless the designated premises supervisor or a personal licence holder is present on the premises.
Only a personal licence holder shall be permitted to sell alcohol at the premises.
A contact number shall be displayed in a position that is visible to neighbours.
Clear and legible notices shall at all times be prominently displayed at entrance/exit reminding customers to leave the premises quietly.
By 31 March 2016, the Premises Licence Holder and Designated Premises Supervisor, [name removed] shall attend a recognised alcohol licensing training course in relation to underage sales of alcohol and retain a record of the same in accordance with condition number 5 in Annex 2 to this licence. (Condition 1 above was imposed by Bexley Magistrates Court on 1 December 2015)
The following alcoholic beverages shall not be displayed for self service at the premises and shall be behind a staffed counter or in a locked chiller cabinet: o Alcoholic beverages over 20% a.b.v presented in containers holding a lesser quantity than 700ml. All other alcoholic beverages shall be located in those areas highlighted in yellow on the plan attached at Annex 4 to this licence. (Condition 2 above was imposed by Licensing Sub Committee on 8 February 2016 but was susequently amended on 18 September 2018 under delegated authority)
