Licence conditions (39)

All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every six months thereafter on:
the prevention of underage sale of alcohol, which shall include:
Operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme.
ii. Types of acceptable ID, including false ID guidance recommended by the Home Office.
iii. Method of recording challenges;
iv. Likely Consequences of Making an Underage Sale.
Refusing the sale of alcohol to a person who appears to be drunk, (including observing and identifying the early signs of customers becoming drunk).

drug awareness, which shall include training on the drugs policy applicable to the premises
The occurrence of such training shall be recorded, including the date and the name of the person trained, and made available for Inspection by the police or the Licensing Authority.
The prevention of crime and disorder
CCTV will be installed inside and outside the premises. The cameras shall cover all internal areas accessible to the public and areas immediately outside the premises.
The date and time settings on the system must be kept correct.
It must also be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times.
The system must make and retain clear images that include the point of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of alcohol.
All CCTV images shall be retained for not less than 31 days in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment.
The original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised
A CCTV monitor will be fixed next to the till so the counter staff can be aware of any outside or inside problems in advance and alert others on the premises.
No alcohol will be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative.
To protect the premises, a Scutum Digital Alarm with police connection will be installed. It will message the manager /owner when the premises closes or opens. In an emergency, it will connect immediately with the police by pressing a red button, which will be fitted underneath the till in the counter area of the premises.
All staff private areas will be kept locked and secured whilst the premises are open to the public.
All alcohol refrigerators will have glass doors that are always closed.
The alcohol lights inside the refrigerators will be kept off outside the permitted hours.
The responsible person will always ensure that no alcohol products are kept within the first few metres of the door to prevent 'grab and run' thefts at the premises.
Public safety
All staff shall be aware of the risk assessment.
The Fire Safety Risk Assessment book will always be kept near the till area and reviewed by all staff regularly. Records, including the person's name and date reviewed, will be kept and made available for inspection.
The prevention of public nuisance
All commercial deliveries, removals, and disturbance-caused waste disposal in external areas shall be restricted to not take place between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following day.
No commercial litter will be kept outside the premises.
All the waste of the premises will be collected on a regular basis.
To prevent customers from littering outside the premises, a litter bin will be kept near the entrance inside the premises, which will be cleared and cleaned at the end of the day.
All staff and customers will be advised to keep the noise level to a minimum.
A notice will be displayed outside the premises asking customers not to cause any disturbance to neighbours.
The person responsible will ensure that any problems the local residents raise are responded to as soon as reasonably practicable.
The light-coloured LED lights which may be fitted to the external sign boards at the premises, will be turned off after the premises are closed to the public.
