Private functions only.
All staff to be trained in Licensing Law.
At all private birthday functions the DPS or nominated personal licence holder will be present.
All staff will adopt Challenge 21 and request proof of identity, driving licence and passport accepted as positive ID.
Premises only open to private members for private functions.
Staff will receive training on matters concerning underage sales, drugs policy and operating procedures. Training records will be kept and maintained.
The premises shall operate a proof of age scheme and will require photographic identification from any person who appears to be under the age of 21 years.
There shall be no drinks promotions at the premises which are inconsistent with the need to promote responsible drinking.
Music and dance events at the premises shall be risk assessed and where appropriate sufficient SIA registered door supervisors shall be deployed.
All 18th - 21st birthday parties will have a minimum of 2 SIA door staff working the whole time the premises is open for licensing activities.
Incidents will be reported to the Police.
All health and safety and risk assessments in place and maintained.
Staff will be trained on matters of safety, evacuation and use of emergency equipment as required.
Spillages and breakages will be removed as soon as possible to reduce the risk to patrons and staff.
Fire exits and means of escape shall be kept clear and in good operational condition.
Where appropriate, prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting the public respect the needs of local resident and to leave the premises and the area quietly.
Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises so as to cause nuisance to nearby properties. Windows will be closed if/when live music is being played.
Smoking will be confined to the front of the premises, to be robustly monitored.
Adequate waste receptacles for use by customers shall be provided in and immediately outside the premises (smoking area).
No persons to use the fire exit to the rear of the premises as a smoking area.
The restrictions set out in the Licensing Act 2003 will apply. No unusual or additional risks of harm of children have been identified.
The premises licence holder will ensure that an age verification policy will apply to the premises whereby all staff will be trained to ask any customer attempting to purchase alcohol, who appears to be under the age of 21 years (or older if the licence holder so elects) to produce, before being sold alcohol, identification being a passport or photocard driving licence bearing the customer's photograph, date of birth and the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (or similarly accredited scheme) hologram. The training will include recognising the signs and symptoms of drunk persons and the refusal of sale due to intoxication. All staff shall be trained to record refusals of sales of alcohol in a refusals register. The register will contain:- details of the time and date the refusal was made;- the identity of the staff member refusing the sale;- details of the alcohol the person attempted to purchase. This register will be available for inspection by a police officer or trading standards officer on request.
Children under the age of 16 will only be permitted entry as part a family/pre-booked private function with full adult supervision.
Age verification posters informing customers that a Challenge 21 policy (or such older age as company policy dictates) shall be displayed in prominent positions at the premises.
