Licence conditions (22)
  1. All recorded music will be internal to the premises only
  2. There shall be maintained on the premises at all times an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials for the use of customers.
  3. All staff to be fully trained in the issues arising from the sale of Alcohol.
  4. The times and conditions of sale will be prescribed and monitored by the premises supervisor on a case-by-case basis in terms of our events and a monthly review basis in terms of retail sales.
  5. Risk to visitor safety and the Property as a whole are already the basis of an extensive visitor risk assessment and Emergency Plan which can be made available, and which will be modified to include the issues arising from the sale of alcohol.
  6. It is our intention to review the implications and issues arising from the sale of alcohol on an annual basis as part of our property Health & Safety plan.
  7. All events will be fully staffed by trained members of our team.
  8. Radios are available to staff members to ensure that situations can be monitored and help summoned if needed.
  9. All on-site events are ticketed with contact details taken of those attending, or of the organisers of said events.
  10. All staff will be trained and briefed in advance of the specific risks of a given event.
  11. All rooms will be continually supervised by a member of the team.
  12. Phones are provided for staff to use in the event of an emergency.
  13. Wordsworth house is already covered by extensive health & safety plans regarding public access & safety, which can be made available if needed.
  14. Specific risk assessments will be produced to cover individual events where activities (such as the provision of alcohol) exceed the usual remit.
  15. First-aid provision is always available on the premises, as are trained first-aiders.
  16. All events are pre-booked so visitor numbers can be taken into account when considering staffing.
  17. Visitor numbers are already limited by the provisions of our fire risk assessments.
  18. Where alcohol is sold for consumption on the premises it will only be for the duration of specific events, and activities will be confined to the premises itself or the walled garden that surrounds it.
  19. Alcohol sold through the shop will be specifically of the ‘gift’ or souvenir variety rather than that designed for mass consumption.
  20. Shop staff will be fully trained in the laws surrounding the sale of alcohol through Retail.
  21. We retain the right to refuse service if we believe that there is the potential for Public Nuisance.
  22. Staff will be trained in the laws surrounding alcohol sales to children.
