Licence conditions (16)
  1. Staff will receive training on matters concerning underage sales, drugs policy and operating procedures as part of their induction. Records will be kept of such training which must be signed and dated by the member of staff who has received the training.
  2. There shall be a zero tolerance policy in relation to drugs at the premises and there shall be regular checks by management to prevent the use by patrons. Drugs seized shall be stored securely and handed to the Police.
  3. The premises shall operate a proof of age scheme and will require photographic identification from any person who appears to be under the age of 21 years.
  4. The management of the premises will liaise with the Police on issues of local concern and disorder. The premises shall be an active participant in and a member of Havant District Pubwatch as long as it exists, or unless by a vote of the membership, the premises are excluded from such membership.
  5. CCTV - The premises shall have sufficient cameras located within the premises to cover all public areas including outside of the premises covering the entrance and exits. The system will be able to cope with strobe lighting (when used) and all levels of illumination throughout the premises as well as outside areas. CCTV system must be in operation at all times whilst the premises are open for licensable activities. All equipment stall have a constant and accurate time and date generation. The recording system will be able to capture a minimum of 4 frames per second and all recorded footage must be securely retained for a minimum of 28 days. Records must be made on a weekly basis and kept for inspection to show that the system is functioning correctly and the data is being securely retained. There will be sufficient members of trained staff at the premises during operating hours to be able to provide viewable copies immediately to Police on request when investigating allegations or offences or criminal activity. Any images recovered must be in a viewable format on either disc, VHS or other easily downloadable format. Footage supplied in a digital format on CD or DVD will also have a copy of the CCTV system software enabled on the disc to allow playback. Any technical failure of the CCTV system will be reported to Havant Police Licensing unit as soon as reasonably practicable.
  6. Spillages and breakages will be removed as soon as possible to reduce the risk to patrons and staff.
  7. Where appropriate, prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all exists, requesting the public respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and the area quietly.
  8. Patrons will be encouraged by staff to leave quietly and respect the interests of the occupiers of any nearby noise sensitive premises. Where appropriate the licensee or a suitable staff member will monitor patrons leaving at closing time.
  9. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises so as to cause nuisance to nearby properties. Windows will be closed if/when live music is being played.
  10. Contact numbers of local taxi firms shall be kept on the premises and made available to patrons requiring a taxi.
  11. The area marked garden area shown on the premises licence plan will not be used for the consumption of alcohol and/or food after 2300 hours on any day.
  12. No smoking will be permitted to the front of the premises after 22:00 hours.
  13. The restrictions set out in the Licensing Act 2003 will apply.
  14. Children under the age of 16 shall not be permitted to enter the premises after 21:00 hours unless dining with an adult or attending a pre-booked function.
  15. The premises supervisor or appointed staff member shall ensure that when children are admitted to the premises their presence is not inconsistent with the style of operation of the premises at that time and the licensable activities that are being carried out.
  16. Policies in relation to children shall be adequately communicated to patrons by staff or through appropriate signage.

Licensed hours are the most a premises may open or trade under its licence, not its actual opening times.
