Alcohol may only be sold to persons having a table meal or those waiting to be seated prior to having a table meal.
Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s)/and inside at the premises bar servery area.
A book, or other form of record, a version of which must be in English, shall be kept in which shall be recorded the date, time and circumstances of the following: a) any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme, and b) any disorder, ejection or other relevant incident that occurs on the premises. This book, or record, shall be kept on the premises at all times they are open and shall be made available for inspection immediately upon demand by any police or community support officer or authorised person. Management shall frequently check the book to ensure all staff are using it. This book must be kept at the premises for a period not less than 12 months from its last entry.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter on: a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i. the operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. the method of recording challenges; and iv. the likely consequence of making an underage sale, b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sales; d) the operation of the CCTV equipment; and e) drug awareness, which shall include training on the drugs policy applicable to the premises. Such training shall be recorded, a version of which must be kept in English, and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person immediately upon demand.
Where a customer aged 18 years or over indicates that they are purchasing alcohol for a 16 or 17 year old to drink with their meal, the 16 or 17 year old shall also be required to produce a valid proof of age.
Deliveries to the premises shall only be made between 09:00 hours and 18:00 hours on Mondays to Saturdays and between 10:00 hours and 17:00 hours on Sundays.
The digital CCTV system operating at the premises shall be regularly maintained at all times to ensure continuous quality of image capture and retention .
The CCTV cameras shall be sited in a position where the following areas are covered: o All entrance and exit doors; o All alcohol display areas; and o All floor areas
The CCTV cameras sited at: (a) The entrance shall capture full frame shots of the head and shoulders of all people entering the premises and shall be capable of use for identification purpose. (b) The till areas shall capture frames not less than 50% of screen (c) Covering the floor area shall be wide angled to give an overview of the premises
All CCTV cameras shall: (a) Capture a minimum of 16 frames per second (b) Be capable of visually confirming the nature of the crime committed (c) Provide a linked record of the date, time and place of any image (d) Provide good quality colour images
