Licence conditions (18)
- Where a premises licence authorises the sale of alcohol, the licence must include the following conditions:
- There will be vigorous management controls and competent training of staff so that they are aware of the requirements to meet the four licensing objectives and will result in a responsible approach to the sale of alcohol. Staff will be trained to Personal Licence Level. Particular attention will be drawn to: No selling or tasting of alcohol to underage people No drunk or disorderly behaviour on the premises area or in the car park No violent or anti-social behaviour No detrimental effect to children
- Staff training records will be kept at the premises, and refresher training will be undertaken with staff on a regular basis. Staff training records will be made available upon request to an officer of the local authority and or the Police. The Prevention of crime and Disorder
- CCTV will be installed and maintained in full working order. Prominent signage will be displayed throughout the premises informing people that there is CCTV in operation. All recordings will be maintained for at least 28 days and will be made available to an authorised officer of the licensing Authority or a police officer on demand.
- A building alarm system will be installed and maintained.
- There will be external lighting for the car park & premises.
- There will be clear and legible notice outside the premises indicating the normal opening hours under the terms of the premises licence during which licensable activities are permitted.
- Custom will not be sought by means of personal solicitation outside or in vicinity of premises.
- A refusals log book will be kept, detailing whenever a sale is refused to a person who cannot prove they are over the age of 18 years. This log will be available to authorities on request and kept on the premises. Public Safety
- There will be internal and external lighting to promote the public safety objective.
- A log book will be kept on the premises to enter particulars of inspections made; those required to be made by statute, and information compiled to comply with any public safety condition attached to the premises licence that requires recording of such information. The log book will be available for inspection at all times.
- All parts of the premises and all fittings and apparatus therein, door fastenings and notices, lighting, heating, electrical, air condition and other installations will be maintained at all times in good order and safe condition. The Prevention of public nuisance
- There will be no more than 10 customers on the premises at any one time and only during opening hours.
- Deliveries of goods necessary for the operation of the business will be carried out at such a time or manner as to prevent nuisance to nearby residents.
- The licensee will ensure that staff who arrive or leave early morning or late at night will conduct themselves in such a manner to avoid causing a disturbance to nearby residents.
- Any lighting on or outside the premises will be positioned in such a way as to not cause a disturbance. The protection of children from harm
- The licence holder shall implement the 'Challenge 25' scheme, ensuring prominent signage is displayed throughout the premises and all staff are trained in its operation. The Licence Holder shall ensure that any person selling or supplying alcohol at the premises, under the authority of a Personal Licence Holder, asks for photographic proof of ID document where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be less than 25 years of age.
- There will be signage in the premises saying “It is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol if you are under the age of 18 years (section 149 Licencing Act 2003)”
Licensed hours are the most a premises may open or trade under its licence, not its actual opening times.
