  26. The types of regulated entertainments proposed re-instate adn then enhance the normal pub entertainments that were previously unregulated, with the benefit to enhance the local facilities for social entertainment and reduce the focus on alcohol.
  27. Staff will be trained on the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 when they are recruited and given training in 'drugs awareness' as part of their induction.
  28. No new steps have been identified by risk assessment in relation to the 4 licensing objectives, except as below
  29. I have considered the terms of your local licensing policy in preparing this application.
  30. The prevention of crime and disorder:
  31. Providing a 30 minute extension of opening hours after the end of the sale of alcohol will promote this objective as the last drink will be consumed less quickly, with access to the pubs toilet facilities and the provision of non-alcoholic refreshmetn during this period.
  32. No entry or re-entry after 00.00
  33. A personal licence holder will be present on the premises whenever trading after 00.00
  34. Not less that 10 working days written notice will be provided to police, if they require it, when 'events days' are planned.
  35. Public safety:
  36. Function bookings will be limited to 100 persons
  37. My risk assessment identifies no risk of crowding.
  38. The prevention of public nuisance:
  39. Live music will end at 23.00 except on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
  40. Recorded music indoors will end at 23.00 except on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
  41. Recorded music volume will be reduced to background level during the wind down period to create a mood change
  42. All windows will be kept closed after 23.00
  43. A notice will be placed prominently at the exits asking customers to leave quietly.
  44. The garden will be cleared at or before 23.00
  45. The protection of children from harm:
  46. The restrictions set out in the Licensing Act 2003 will apply.
  47. Photographic proof of age will be required to be shown by anyone seeking to purchase alcohol who appears to be under 20 years of age.
  48. No unusual risks of harm to children have been identified.
  49. The premises will not show videos or TV transmissions that are unsuitable for children under 18 years of age before 22.00
