Licence conditions (11)

Our staff will be well trained to ensure that we will provide a well run premises and have a responsible approach to the sale of alcohol, the provision of entertainment and late night refreshment. All staff will be advised of licensing law in writing before they are allowed to serve alcohol and a full record of training will be kept on the premises and be available for inspection by the Police or Allerdale Licensing Department as and when required.
The premises are alarmed and we will install CCTV prior to the sale of alcohol. Signage alerting customers to the use of CCTV will be placed in a prominent position and any footage will be made available to the Police and Allerdale Licensing Department upon request.
We will introduce age verification for anyone who appears to be under 21 years of age.
A full risk assessment will be carried out at the premises taking into account public safety to identify potential hazards posed to staff or customers and set out precautions to manage the hazards. This will be reviewed annually. All staff will be made aware of the risk assessment and precautionary measures.
A first aid box will be available on the premises and maintained with sufficient stock.
Music will be turned down towards the end of an evening and lighting increased to help reduce the potential for any public nuisance by customers leaving. We will display notices either side of the exit doors requesting patrons to leave quietly.
We will provide a free taxi phone service with a designated local taxi firm to ensure customers leave quietly.
Bottles will not be emptied into bins during the late evening or early morning.
We will operate a strict 'Challenge 21' policy to prevent the sale of alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
We will keep a refusals book, containing the date and time of any one incident, a description of the customer, name of staff and the reason the sale was refused.
Children must be accompanied by an adult after 9 p.m.
