  1. General - all four licensing objectives (b,c,d,e) b) The prevention of crime and disorder As a destination pub and restaurant most of our clients are couples or families. We rarely have young persons under 18 arrive without being accompanied by an adult. Generally this combination makes for a quiet relaxed atmosphere. The management and staff encourage this friendly relaxed atmosphere by not allowing any misconduct, bad language, drunkenness, rowdiness, drug taking or drug dealing. c) Public Safety In the interest of safety and crime prevention the premises and outside areas are monitored and recorded using CCTV Gambling is not allowed apart from small stakes being played in games of skill such as dominoes and cribbage or by playing the licensed amusement machine(s). d) The prevention of public nuisance. Should the variation on the hours be granted then the same would apply as it did before. Background music would stop at 23:30. Clients would be reminded to leave the premises quietly. Notices would also endorse quiet behaviour. Clients are reminded, by posted notices, to have due respect for local residents and not to be noisy after 21:00 and to leave the premises quietly. e) The protection of children from harm The management and staff are fully aware of the law regarding the sale and supply of alcohol, without a meal, to anyone under the age of
  2. Any person appearing to be younger than 18 is asked to provide proof of their age with a photo ID card or passport. Young persons 14 and over are allowed (if accompanied by an adult) into the non-smoking dining area and can, with their meal, have a glass of beer, wine or cider.
