- This Licence is subject to the provisions of the said Act, to the Regulations and Conditions now or from time to time made by the above Council and to any Additional Conditions included on this Licence.
- ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
- 1) The electrical installation shall be inspected at least once in every five years, or such lesser period as is considered appropriate to the individual case, by a competent electrical engineer appointed by or on behalf of the licensee of the premises and a certificate stating the condition of the installation shall after each inspection, be forwarded to the Council by or on behalf of the licensee of the premises.
- 2) The number of persons (excluding staff and attendants) to be allowed at any one time in the licensed premises shall not exceed: Bar - 50, Restaurant Area - 70
- 3) The permitted hours of public use under the Licence are varied as follows:
- Sunday - 16.30hrs To 23.00hrs
- 4) The licence holder or anyone involved in the organisation of entertainment's (including those controlling the volume of music) shall ensure that any noise emanating from the premises is such as not to cause annoyance or disturbance to residents in the locality.
- Conditions added after hearing 11/11/05:
- The Prevention of Public Nuisance:
- Suitable and conspicuous notices to be displayed at all entrances and exits in appropriate places reminding patrons it is a residential area and to leave quietly.
- The Protection of Children from Harm:
- Accompanied children allowed in the non-smoking restaurant area only (except for access and use of toilet facilities), reflected on the plan supplied by the applicant as trade areas 2210 and 2685.

- General - all four licensing objectives:
- Strong management controls and effective training so that all staff are aware of the licensing objectives and in particular ensure:
- No underage drinking, drunkenness on the premises, drunkenness in public, use of drugs, violent and anti-social behaviour and to protect children from harm.
- The prevention of crime and disorder:
- Responsible management of the premises. Keeping to capacity levels, training and supervision of all staff, adopting best practise guide e.g. adhering to the BBPA, Portman Group on drinks strategy, The National Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy Tool Kit and other voluntary codes of practise, use of proof of age schemes and/or photo ID driving licences with photographs on music nights, member of the Pub Watch Scheme, use of toughened glass and plastic glasses for outdoors, provision of secure deposit boxes for confiscated items, provision of litter bins and other security measures e.g. lighting outside the premises.
- Public safety:
- Risk Management assessment checked weekly and effective and responsible management at all times. Provision of general staff levels to secure safety of the premises and customers. Training and supervision of those employed, adoption of best practice e.g. National Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy Toolkit and other voluntary codes of practice including the BBPA and Portman Group point of sale promotions, toughened glass throughout and plastic glasses throughout for the outside areas, regular testing and certification if appropriate of all procedures, appliances and systems pertinent to safety.
- The prevention of public nuisance:
- Responsible management at all times. Training and supervision to prevent incidents of public nuisance. Regular visits to all parts of the premises including the exterior and deliveries etc outside opening hours, adoption of best practice e.g. control of noise from pubs and clubs, NAHRS Toolkit and other voluntary codes of practice including the BBPA and Portman Group point of sale promotions. Management of people including staff and traffic arriving and leaving the premises. Liaison with public and private transport providers. External lighting and security lighting installed. Collection and management of litter and effective ventilation systems to prevent nuisance from odour.
- The protection of children from harm:
- Provision of sufficient staff to secure the protection of children from harm with appropriate training. Adoption of best practice guide (Public Places Charter). Children only on the premises between 10.00 and 20.00 except in dining room till 23.00. No children in bars during entertainment. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the restaurant which will be controlled by the supervisor at the time. Proof of age scheme and or photo ID driving licences.
