- We have been at these premises 23 years without complaint. We are not seeking to change the style of our operation. We wish to use the change in the law as an opportunity to be more flexible in the entertainment made available to our regulars and their friends, especially for special occasions. My husband who is joint lease holder and daughter who is manager have applied for a licence to ensure a personal licence holder is on the premises the majority of the time that we are open to the public.,.
- We are a small rural pub in the 23 years we have occupied these premises we have not experienced any crime of disorder. We would like to think it is down to our good and capable management and our tolerance to any sign of rowdy behaviour. I liaise regularly with our local community village policeman as licensee and on a wider front regarding the village and surrounding area in my capacity as Clerk to the Little Horkesley Parish Council.,.
- We have carried out our own risk accessment. Any one that we employ (which is mainly our family) is made aware that public safety is paramount any advice by health and safety in the past has been implemented. If there is still room for improvement sue to response/obligation to this application from the responsible authorities that advice/obligation will be acted on immediately.,.
- The continuation of custom by the older cliental we have established over time is more important to use that letting people cause trouble, we have previously ensured that people leave the premises quietly. In the past people have been told that if they can not behave in an orderly manner we do not want their custom. We have not had any complaints of nuisance in the past and we wish to ensure that continues in the future.,.
- Children are only allowed in the lounge/dining area that is partitioned off from the bar and in the restaurant but only with a responsible adult.,.
- No live or amplified music to be played in the open air (including temporary structures such as marquees and tents).All external doors & windows must be kept closed after 23.00, other than for access and egress, in all rooms when events involving amplified sound are taking place.,.
- No fireworks or other pyrotechnics shall be used.Note to Applicant: The use of explosives, pyrotechnics and fireworks of a similar nature which could cause disturbance in surrounding areas are restricted,.
- No music or speech shall be relayed via external speakers.,.
