  1. A recording internal and external CCTV system will be installed and will ordinarily be in fully operational use at all times the venue is operating under its premises licence. CCTV system will be of a standard and format agreed by the Police as acceptable for evidential use if required. As a minimum any copies burned off for Police must be capable of being played on any Windows based system without the need for further software and without the need for any enhancement.
  2. The recording equipment will be stored and operated in a secure environment with limited access to avoid damage, theft, unauthorised viewing and maintain the integrity of the system.
  3. The system will be regularly maintained and serviced.
  4. The system clock will be checked regularly for accuracy taking account of GMT and BST.
  5. Police and authorised Officers of Havant Borough Council shall have access to data from the systems quickly and easily and therefore provision will be made for someone to have access to the secure area and also be able to operate the equipment and to supply footage in a format which can be easily viewed by Police.
  6. All operators will receive training from the installer when equipment is installed and this training will be cascaded down to new members of staff.
  7. An operator's manual will be available to assist in replaying and exporting data (particularly important with digital systems).
  8. A member of the Management team will be on the premises all the time the store is open. A person will have responsibility for the premises whilst the premises are open.
  9. A person will have responsibility for the premises whilst the premises are open.
  10. Management will be trained to support the running of the premises including looking after our customers and staff.
  11. The store will adhere to all rules and regulations relating to public safety.
  12. We intend to be an active member of the community and welcome the opportunity to liaise with Police and enforcement authorities should the need arise.
  13. All staff shall be trained to challenge every individual who appears to be under 25 years of age and to refuse service where individuals cannot produce acceptable means of identification such as passport, photo driving licence and PASS accredited photo ID only. If the person seeking alcohol is unable to produce acceptable means of identification, no sale or supply of alcohol will be made to or for that person.
  14. Training shall be provided to all staff that sell alcohol and shall be refreshed at least every six months. Written records shall be kept of all training and refresher training.
