  1. For the purpose of paragraph 6(8) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 this licence is subject to the effect of restrictions contained in the Licensing Act 1964 and the Children and Young Persons Act 1933,which include, but may not be limited to, the following: i) Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in the licensed premises; ii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during the hours permitted under this licence, however this restriction does not prohibit: a) During the first twenty minutes after the permitted hour, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel; b) The ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the dispatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered; c) The sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club; and d) The sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty's naval, military or air forces; iii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied to a canteen or mess iv) No child shall be employed: a) So long as he is under the age of fourteen years; b) To do any work other than light work; c) Before the close of school hours on any day on which he is required to attend school; d) Before seven o'clock in the morning or after seven o'clock in the evening on any day; e) For more than two hours on any day on which he is required to attend school; f) For more than two hours on any Sunday; g) Five hours in any day on which he is not required to attend school, and which is not a Sunday; h) For more than thirty-five hours or, if he is under the age of fifteen years, for more than twenty-five hours in any week in which he is not required to attend school; i) For more than four h
  2. The CCTV system serving the premises shall: o be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times, o make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol, o show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made o be able to show activity outside the shop frontage o and all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31days.
  3. The original, or a copy of the CCTV recording, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person. Copies of CCTV recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
  4. No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment in inoperative for any reason.
  5. The Proof of Age scheme operated by these premises shall be "Challenge 25". Whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. The only acceptable forms of ID that shall be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: o proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; o passport; or o UK photo driving licence.
  6. Notices advertising that the premises operates "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position, visible from both inside and outside of the premises, warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 years of age.
  7. A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. The "Challenge book", or other form of record, shall be made available for inspection by any police, community support or authorised Council officers upon demand.
  8. An electronic log shall be kept of all refusals, which shall be retained for 12 months from the date of each refusal. The Premises Licence Holder shall ensure that the refusals log is printed, checked, signed and dated on a weekly basis by the Designated Premises Supervisor. The electronic refusals log will be kept and maintained at the premises and will be available for inspection immediately upon demand by any police or community support officer or authorised person.
  9. A till prompt system shall be in operation at the store which will remind the operator to require any customer appearing to that member of staff to be under the age of 25 to produce ID. The sale of that item shall be electronically inhibited if the operator does not electronically confirm that either the customer has ID proving they are aged 18 or over or that the customer appeared to be over the age of 25.
  10. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i) operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme: ii) types of acceptable ID; iii) method of recording challenges; iv) likely consequence of making an underage sale; and v) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk. Such training shall take place on induction, and at least twice a year thereafter. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police, community support or authorised Council officers immediately upon demand.
  11. The premise shall maintain a clear window in the door above a height of 1.3m measured externally from the ground at the base of the door so that staff have an unobstructed view of any activity occurring in the street outside of the premises.
