- CCTV to be fitted to a standard agreed by the Police that complies with the CCTV Code of Practise (2008 edition) produced by the Information Commissioners Office with coverage to include the alcohol display area, the entrance and the point of sale.
- The CCTV system to be maintained and serviced on a regular basis. Records of the servicing and maintenance to kept on premises.
- The CCTV system will be operational at all times that the premises are open for the sale of alcohol.
- The CCTV system is to be checked regularly and any faults detected shall be rectified as soon as possible. The DPS will record any discovered faults and the steps they have taken to rectify the issue.
- Images on the CCTV system will be retained for a period of at least one calendar month by whatever means the licence holder deems appropriate.
- The Police or local authority will be allowed to take a recording of the CCTV by way of tape, CD ROM, DVD or memory stick at any reasonable time or at the least within 48 hours of a request being made.
- A ?Challenge 25 Policy? will be adopted at the premises
- All staff involved in the sale or supply of alcohol will be fully trained in the ?Challenge 25? scheme and the training will be fully auditable to any responsible authority on request
- Notices to advise customers that ?Challenge 25? is in force will be prominently displayed in all areas, including by the till, by the alcohol display and at the entrance.
- A written refusals book will be kept at the premises and all staff trained in it?s use. The book will be bound and clearly marked. The following information will be recorded
- (i) Time of refusal
- (ii) Item refused
- (iii) Name or description or person refused
- (iv) Reason for refusal
- (v) Name of staff member making refusal.
