What the licence permits

Opening hours on the licence
Mon to Thu 10:00-23:20, Fri and Sat 10:00-00:00, Sun 12:00-22:50, other: Please see Recorded music and Live music. For the avoidance of doubt, he exisitng permitted hours on Mondays-Thursdays are 10.00-23.00 and on Sundays are 12.00-22.50. There will be no variation to these hours other than referred to in the Rider attached. On Christmas Eve and he Fridays and Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends it is intended that the premises will be open until 01.00. There will be no variation to the hours already permitted for New Years Eve
Live Music
Fri and Sat 18:00-00:00, other: The presence of a live band is usually only at a wedding and the wedding "season" is genrally from April - September. There may also be live music for some Christmas and New Year functions. On Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and the Fridays and Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends music will continue until 01.00 Not every wedding has a live band; if they do; the band plays for slots of time during the course of the evening. The band would not perform throughout the time listed above.
Recorded Music
Fri and Sat 18:00-00:00, other: A disco is usually only for a wedding and the wedding season is generally from April to September A disco will also be used to provide entertainment at Christmas and New Year functions. On Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and the Fridays and Saturdays of Bank Holiday Weekends music will continue until 01.00 Incidental music is played every day in the restaurant, bar and public areas of the hotel. For the avoidance of doubt, this will continue under the provisions of part 2 of schedule 1.

Alcohol Sales On
Mon to Thu 10:00-23:00, Fri and Sat 10:00-23:30, Sun 12:00-22:30, other: See Rider attached regarding contractor events. On Christmas Eve, and the Fridsys and Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends supply of alcohol is intended to continue until 00.30 For the avoidance of doubt, the exisiting permitted hours on Mondays to Thursadys are 10.00-23.00 and sundays are 12.00-22.30. There will be no variation to these hours other than referred to in the rider attached. The hours already permitted for New Years Eve will not change.
Licence conditions (15)
  1. The variation is to cover the provision of a disco and / or live band and dancing at weddings and functions held at the hotel until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays only. The area which is the subject of the application to vary is shown edged in red on the plan attached. The application does not affect the remainder of the licensed area in the hotel. Only one function is held at a time.
  2. The application is also to vary the time of the supply of alcohol to non-residents in the area shown edged red on the plan attached so as to permit the supply of alcohol until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays with an additional hour on Christmas Eve, and the Fridays and Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
  3. The application includes some functions outside the standard hours. These areexplained in the Rider attached and detailed in the "proposed terms" attached. The premises is a long established hotel which plays an important part in the local economy both as an employer and a purchaser.
  4. The genral manager of the hotel has liaised with local residents and witha local security company to introduce measures set out in the attached "proposed terms" to address the licensing objectives particularly preventing nuisance.

  9. This is not considered to be a cause for concern proposed conditions referred to in (a) above will also promote this objective.

  11. It is not proposed to undertake anything beyond the current health and safety and fire safety measures
