What the licence permits

Licence conditions (10)
  1. The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol, facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol and the exterior of the premises; c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made and all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days.
  2. The original, or a copy of the CCTV recording, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person.
  3. Copies of CCTV recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
  4. No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
  5. The premises shall operate in accordance with the ?Challenge 25? scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years and over, anyone who appears under 25 years of age will be asked for ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises.
  6. The only acceptable forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the ?PASS? hologram logo; b. passport; c. UK photo driving licence; or d. other ID with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority.
  7. A refusals book, or similar record, shall be kept at the premises in which shall be recorded forthwith the time, date and circumstances under which any attempted purchase by a young customer has been refused. This book or other form of record shall be made available for inspection by any Police officer, community support officer or an authorised person upon demand
  8. All mixed alcoholic drinks under 10% abv, beers and cider over 6% a.b.v. and all spirits must be displayed behind a staffed counter at all times.
  9. Clear and permanent signage shall be displayed both inside and outside of the premises stating that it is an offence under the Licensing Act 2003 for persons to buy alcohol for children under the age of 18.
  10. All containers of alcohol sold in accordance with this Licence must be marked with a label identifying the premises. Labels suitable for use in identifying the premises include ultra-violet labels bearing a unique premises reference mark that are applied in a prescribed manner both of which have been agreed with the Police.
