  1. Steps the applicant intends to take to promote the four licensing objectives:
  2. General - all four licensing objectives:
  3. The applicant company believes that the four licensing objectives can be achieved by proper investment and management of the store. Sufficient resources are to be devoted to ensure that the store trades within the law and taking into consideration what is best for staff, customers and anyone else visiting the premises.
  4. The prevention of crime and disorder:
  5. 1 Alcohol is not sold to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol.
  6. 2 Alcohol is not knowingly sold to anyone underage.
  7. 3 A refusal book will be kept and checked by the designated premises supervisor and area manager on a monthly basis.
  8. 4 CCTV cameras are provided inside and outside the premises and the images are retained for a period of at least 31 days.
  9. 5 Such images will be made available to the police upon request.
  10. Public safety:
  11. 1 Emergency lighting and evacuation procedures are in place.
  12. 2 Fixtures and fittings are in accordance with the company standards.
  13. 3 Electrical equipment is checked on a regular basis and risk assessments are undertaken.
  14. 4 First aid equipment is available on the premises
  15. 5 An accident book is maintained and will be checked on a monthly basis by the designated premises supervisor.
  16. 6 Any spillage's or breakage's will be dealt with in accordance with the company's health and safety policy.
  17. The prevention of public nuisance:
  18. 1 Noise, light and smell levels will be controlled to reduce the risk of causing public nuisance.
  19. 2 Deliveries will be arranged for reasonable times of the day.
  20. 3 There will be adequate litter bins provided for the customers.
  21. The protection of children from harm:
  22. 1 Prove it and citizen card schemes are implemented.
  23. 2 There are prompts on the till to remind operators to check age.
  24. 3 Employees are trained in accordance with the company's policy as to the sale of alcohol, cigarettes, solvent and blades.
