All staff engaged in licensable activities at the premises will receive training and information on induction and every 6 months the following:
The Challenge 25 scheme in operation at the premises including acceptable forms of identification.
The hours and activities permitted by the premises licence.
How to complete and maintain the refusals register in operation at the premises.
Recognising the signs of drunkenness.
The operating procedure for refusing service to any person who is drunk, underage or appears to be under-age.
Action to be taken in the event of an emergency, including reporting an incident to the emergency services
Training records will be kept on the premises and contain the nature, content and frequency of all training. Records must be made available for inspection by Police, Police Licensing Officer and authorised officers from the Local Authority upon request either electronically or hard copy.
CCTV will be provided in the form of a recordable system, capable of providing pictures of evidential quality in all lighting conditions particularly facial recognition.
Cameras will encompass all ingress, egress and areas to which the public have access, (except toilets). The CCTV will be recording at all times that the premises are open to the public.
Equipment will be maintained in good working order, correctly time and date stamped, and recordings will be kept on hard drive for a period of 31 days and handed to Police upon reasonable request.
The applicant will ensure at all times a DPS or member of staff is capable and competent to download CCTV footage in a recordable format to the Police and Local Authority upon reasonable request. The Police or local authority will be given a copy of the CCTV in a suitable format within 48 hours of any reasonable request.
The Premises Licence Holder shall not permit the use of the licensed premises to become a nuisance to persons in the neighbourhood and shall take all reasonable steps necessary to prevent persons in the neighbourhood from being disturbed by noise.
The Premises Licence Holder shall comply with any noise standard specified by the Local Authority.
During the hours of operation of the premises, the Premises Licence Holder shall ensure sufficient measures are in place to remove and prevent cigarette waste arising or accumulating from the customers in the immediate area outside the premise.
The premises will operate a "Challenge 25" Proof of Age Policy to prevent the entry of or sale or supply of alcohol to persons under 18 years of age. The policy will require any person who appears to be under the age of 25 years to produce one of the following forms of identification: A recognised proof of age card credited under the British Consortiums Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS); Photo driving licence. Passport. Notices will be prominently displayed advising customers of the "Challenge 25" policy.
A refusal register will be in operation at the premises. All staff involved in the sale of alcohol will be fully trained in the system and it will record the following: a) Item refused; b) Name or description of the person refused; c) Reason for refusal; d)Name of staff member making refusal
The register will be available for inspection to any Police Officer, Local Authority Licensing Officer or Trading Standards Officer at any reasonable time
