Licence conditions (16)
  1. Unaccompanied children shall not be permitted on the premises after 20:00 hours.
  2. The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. Acceptable forms of ID are a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) UK photo driving licence; or d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority
  3. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s)/and inside the premises.
  4. A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. The "challenge book", or other form of record, a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  5. Where a customer aged 18 years or over indicates that they are purchasing alcohol for a 16 or 17 year old to drink with their meal, the 16 or 17 year old shall also be required to produce a valid proof of age.
  6. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter. Such training shall include: a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i. operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. method of recording challenges; iv. likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sales; d) the operation of the CCTV equipment; and e) Staff shall be provided with 'drug awareness training', and be briefed on the drugs policy applicable to the premises.
  7. Staff training shall be recorded a version of which must be kept in English and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  8. No alcohol shall be sold to persons unless taking a substantial table meal, or to persons waiting to be seated to take a substantial table meal.
  9. No off sales shall be made from the premises.
  10. A personal licence holder shall be on duty in the restaurant area from 6pm until the close of business.
  11. A CCTV system shall be installed and shall: o be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; o make and retain clear images of an evidential standard for Court use; o show an accurate date and time that the images were made, and o all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days.
  12. The original, or a copy of the CCTV images, shall be provided upon demand to any Police Officer, Community Support Officer or authorised person.
  13. All mixed alcoholic beverages under 10% abv, beers and ciders over 5.5% and all spirits in bottles less than 70 cl shall be kept behind a staffed counter.
  14. Clear and legible signage shall be displayed at all exits of the premises reminding patrons to leave the premises quietly.
  15. No deliveries involving the rear access road shall take place between 23:00 hours and 07:00 hours on the following day.
  16. The Premises Licence Holder will host a meeting with local residents immediately prior to the opening of the premises, and thereafter 6 months and 12 months after opening.
