Licence conditions (29)
  1. A supermarket store selling a broad range of groceries, household products and alcohol. Situated at Everard Close, St Albans, Herts, AL1 2QU.
  2. 1. To extend the hours for the sale of alcohol to between the hours of 06:00 and 24:00 7 days a week.
  3. 2. To remove the embedded hours inherent with the Licensing Act 1964
  4. 3. To remove the embedded conditions/restrictions inherent with the Licensing Act 1964
  5. 4. To include in Annex 2 the conditions in boxed b to e of section P of the operating schedule.
  6. 5. To make alterations to the premises as shown on the attached plans.
  7. Adult entertainment:
  8. The premises sell alcohol and other age restricted products.
  9. The conditions that we wish to remove:
  10. 1. The hours for the sale of alcohol are currently restricted to:
  11. Monday to Saturday: 08:00-23:00
  12. Sunday: 10:00- 22:30
  13. Good Friday: 08:00-22:30
  14. Christmas Day: 12:10 to 15:00 and 19:00 to 22:30
  15. 2. Any embedded retrictions.
  16. The above restrictions would be removed as a consequence of the proposed variation.
  17. The Prevention of Crime and Disorder:
  18. 1. The licence holder will ensure that the premises benefit from a CCTV system that operates at all times when licensable acitivites are taking place.
  19. 2. The system will corporate a camera covering each of the entrance doors and the main alcohol display area and will be capable of providing an image is regarded as identification standard. The precise positions of the cameras may be agreed, subject to compliance with Data Protection legislation, with the police from time to time.
  20. 3. The system will incorpotae a recording facility and any recording will be retained and stored in a suitable and secure manner for a minimum of 30 days and will be made availble, subject to compliance with Data Protetion legislation, to the police for inspection on request.
  21. 4. The system must be able to export recorded images to a removable means e.g. CD/DVD and have its own software enabled to allow playback/review
  22. 5. A member of staff trained in the use of the CCTV system must be available at the premises at all times that the premises are open to the public.
  23. 6. The system will display, on any recording, the correct time and date of the recording.
  24. Public safety:
  25. The applicant will at all times maintain adequate levels of staff and security. Such staff and security levels will be disclosed, on request, to the licensing authority and police.
  26. The Prevention of Public Nuisance:
  27. Signage will be displayed at the exit of the premises requesting customers leaving the premises late at night so do so quietly and with the consideration so as not to disturb nearby residents.
  28. The Protection of Children from Harm:
  29. The premises licenfe holder will ensure that an age verification policy will apply to the premises whereby all cashiers will be trained to ask customers attempting to purchase alcohol, who appears to be under the age of 25 years (or older of the licence holder so elects) to produce (before being sold alcohol) identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a holographic mark.
