  2. a) General - all four licensing objectives
  3. 1. Conditions carried over from Licensing Act 1964 (Justices 'On' Licence).
  4. 2. Recorded music shall be played indoors only.
  5. 3. Late night refreshment shall be provided indoors only.
  6. b) The prevention of crime and disorder
  7. 1. Hot drinks will be available until closing time.
  8. 2. Iced cold water will be available 'during the wind down period' free of charge.
  9. 3. Drivers 'shelf' shall be provided with selection of soft drinks.
  10. 4. Illumination will be provided to the exterior areas of the pub.
  11. 5. The toilets will be checked regularly.
  12. 6. The licence holder and staff will monitor customer behaviour especially during busy periods.
  13. 7. A Burglar alarm system shall be in place.
  14. 8. There shall be a zero tolerance policy on 'drugs'.
  15. c) Public safety
  16. 1. Emergency lighting and illuminated fire exit signs shall be installed.
  17. 2. A Health and Safety policy will be in place and adhered to.
  18. 3. Regular risk assessments will be carried out.
  19. 4. All fire-fighting equipment will be serviced annually and there shall be a contract in place with 'Chubb Fire'.
  20. 5. Mechanical extraction will be installed throughout the pub.
  21. 6. Kitchen staff will hold basic hygiene certificates.
  22. d) The prevention of public nuisance
  23. 1. Recorded music levels will be reduced after 00.00 hrs to ensure no nuisance is caused to neighbours.
  24. 2. The patio area will be closed to customers at 23.00 hrs every day.
  25. 3. When required, staff will organise taxis to transport customers home.
  26. 4. All customers will be asked to leave quietly and to respect our neighbours.
  27. 5. A noise survey will be carried out regularly especially when regulated entertainment is provided in the premises.
  28. e) The protection of children from harm
  29. 1. No unaccompanied children will be allowed on the premises at any time.
  30. Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the licensing authority
  31. 1. The licence holder have active representation and participation at Pubwatch so long as the scheme exists.
  32. 1. As advised by the Fire Authority, the maximum permissible number of persons that may be present within the area indicated as used for licensable activities at one time must not exceed 100 subject to any written amendment by the Fire Authority.
  33. 1. The licence holder or anyone in the organisation of entertainment (including those controlling the volume of music) shall ensure that any noise emanating from the premises is such as not to cause annoyance or disturbance to residents in the locality.
  34. 2. All doors and windows (in the façade(s) of the building) which is the subject of this consent, shall be kept closed at all times during the entertainment events, except when access is required to/from the premises, subject to compliance with the Fire Authority Regulations.
  35. 3. External live music events will be limited to 10 in any 12 month period and to finish by 19.00 hours.
  36. 4. Other than the specified 10 external live music events, no music or sound shall be played in or transmitted to the outside area.
  37. 5. No new patrons shall enter the premises after 00.00 on Friday and Saturday (excluding re-entry).
  38. 6. There shall be no emptying, handling or movement of external bottle containers or any associated activity likely to cause noise disturbance between the hours of 22.00 and 07.30.
  39. 7. There shall be no patron entry or exit to the garden from the side gate, except in emergency.
  40. 1. When children are allowed in the premises, there will be no smoking or alternatively, children will be in an enclosed non-smoking room separated by a closed door from smoking areas.

Licensed hours are the most a premises may open or trade under its licence, not its actual opening times.
