Licence conditions (26)
  1. PARKWAY will be operated as a modern multiplex cinema. All rules around BBFC certification and age appropriacy of content will be followed. Specific areas shall be provided with comfortable seating with small tables, and there shall be three additional seating zones in the foyer and corridor area for customers to enjoy a range of soft drinks, hot drinks, popcorn and other snack items as well as a selected range of alcoholic drinks for consumption on the premises.
  2. An experienced personal licence holder shall be appointed as DPS and written authorisation shall be issued to members of the staff who are trained to sell alcohol whilst the DPS is not physically on site. Only staff with written authority from the DPS will sell alcohol.
  3. A Challenge 25 policy will be promoted and enforced. Challenge 25 applies for the sale of alcohol which is for consumption on the premises only.
  4. Films with BBFC classification will be shown and age verification will be strictly applied at the cinema.
  5. Members of staff shall have regular training updates to ensure staff remain up to date on legislative requirements as necessary.
  6. CCTV shall be installed throughout the cinema, which will be connected to the wider Dunmail Park system to ensure safety and standards are monitored throughout. A CCTV monitoring system shall be installed to monitor all vulnerable areas including but not limited to entrances, foyer area, tickets/kiosks, within each screening room and all emergency exit area. Images shall be recorded on a hard drive and must be retained in an unedited format in line with legislative requirements.
  7. Advanced booking and ticket sales shall be available to help manage queueing times on site. Advance ticket sales shall be available and a queuing system put in place in times of high volumes of customers.
  8. Access for wheelchair users shall be provided throughout the premises, with flat level access to seating areas on every screen and dedicated Emergency Refuge Points.
  9. There will be 508 seats available within the screens, and further seating space in the foyer and corridor areas for up to 100 people before or after film showings.
  10. A subscription to the local link radio network shall be maintained, so that we are made aware of reports of incidents/issues in the area.
  11. A copy of the summary premises licence must be displayed.
  12. No glass will be permitted into screening rooms. Plastic bottles and containers must be used for the consumption of drinks within the cinema auditoriums.
  13. An annual Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) and Health & Safety Audit must be carried out.
  14. Daily checks must be employed including a check that all escape routes are open and free from obstruction prior to allowing access to the public. All public access areas shall be inspected on a regular basis to ensure they remain free from obstruction.
  15. A log of maintenance issues must be maintained and available for inspection.
  16. Staffing levels shall be sufficient to ensure compliance with our licensing requirements.
  17. A nominated first aider and a fully stocked first aid kit must be located on site.
  18. British standard lighting requirements shall be applied and regular checks will be recorded.
  19. Emergency lighting and fire safety equipment must be installed and checked in line with all legislative requirements. Staff shall be fully trained in the use of the equipment and the procedures in case of an emergency.
  20. All emergency exits must be clearly signed with refuge areas nominated and clearly identifiable.
  21. The premises will close by 23.30, except when prior agreement with Dunmail Park management team for any unusual events (such as premiers of film, late night screenings etc.)
  22. This licence does not allow opening after 23:30 for events and where these are intended a Temporary Event Notice must be applied for.
  23. Clear signage shall be displayed advising customers to considerate of neighbours when leaving the premises.
  24. BBFC Film Classification shall be observed and children must only be admitted to films classified as suitable for their age.
  25. No child apparently under the age of 5 years shall be admitted unless accompanied by a person who appears to be 16 years or over.
  26. Staff shall be trained to verify the age of customers.
