Licence conditions (32)

All Staff involved in the sale of alcohol will be properly trained as per the Odeon Cinemas Policy. This training shall be auditable and will be presented to any Police Licensing Officer or Local Authority Licensing Officer upon request.
Each auditorium will be visited by a member of staff at least every thirty minutes.
CCTV shall be in operation in the box office, foyer, retail, general areas.
Where premises are equipped with a staff alerting system the number of attendants for the audience present should be as set out in the table below:

Staff shall not be considered as being available to assist in the event of an emergency if they are:
The holder of the premises licence or the manager on duty at the premises; or
A member of staff whose normal duties responsibilities are likely to significantly affect or delay his response in an emergency situation; or
A member of staff whose usual location when on duty is more than 60 meters from the location to which he is required to go on being alerted to an emergency situation.
Attendants shall, as far as reasonably practicable, be evenly distributed throughout all parts of the premises to which the public, club members and quests have access and keep under observation all parts of the premises to which the audience have access. The staff alerting system shall be maintained in working order.
A proof of age scheme using photographic identification shall be in force at all times. This shall apply to all persons suspected of being the recommended classified age of admission. These are to be carried out at the Box Office and point of sale.
No unaccompanied children under the age of 12 years are to be admitted to a film performance that commences after 20.00hrs.
No unaccompanied children under the age of 15 years are to be admitted to a film performance that commences after 23.00hrs.

o A proof of age scheme, such as Challenge 21, shall be operated at the premises where the only acceptable forms of identification are recognised photographic identification cards, such as a driving licence or passport.
o A record shall be kept detailing all refused sales of alcohol. The record should include the date and time of the refused sale and the name of the member of staff who refused the sale. The record shall be available for inspection at the premises by the Police or an authorised officer of the Council at all times whilst the premises are open.
