- Naka Thai will take proactive and preventative approach to ensure that the four statutory licensing objectives are managed effectively and efficiently at all time.
- Naka Thai intends to invest in the full integration of the security system, consist of burglar alarm, CCTV and lighting. The alarm will be linked to a system that will notify the police if it is activated.Naka Thai intends to implement a door admission policy, including any age restrictions for buying alchohol, refusing already drunk customers to enter the premises and refusing customers who have aggressive manners.Naka Thai will implement a zero tolerance policy to the use of drugs in the premises.Naka Thai will encourage customer for drinking responsibly and discourage excessive drinking. Staff will be trained on the effects of alcohol and how to spot early signs of customers becoming drunk. The guidance will be provided to give the staff knowledge and confidence to deal with drunken patrons.
- Naka Thai will carry out full risk assessment for staff and customers who will be in or around premises in order to ensure their safety. This risk assessment will enable Naka Thai to identify potential hazards posed to staff or customers and hence setting out precautions to manage the hazards. This risk assessment will be regularly reviewed at least every 12 months. Naka Thai will have a fully implemented copy of fire risk assessment in which it will be kept at the premises and made available for inspection by the fire authority and licensing authority. In practice, Naka Thai intends to implement a fire detection system at the premises and will ensure that the system is fully functional at all times. The system will also be tested regularly with records kept and made available for inspection. Means of escape in case of any emergency will be clearly visible, unobstructed and well maintained including areas outside exits leading to a place of ultimate safety such as the street.
- All Naka Thai staff will be trained on the content of the policy to ensure a commitment to good noise management. A record will be kept of the date and name of person trained and made available for inspection by the licensing authority or environmental health responsible authority.Naka Thai will ensure windows and doors are kept closed whilst the premises license is in use to prevent noise breakoutNaka Thai will not allow any new customers to enter the premises after 11pm. We will also display prominent notices close to the exit doors, requesting patrons to leave the premises quickly and quietly.Naka Thai will provide a free taxi phone service and an internal waiting area for customers to prevent noise disturbance to neighbours.
- Naka Thai will have a policy in place to protect children from harm when entering the premises. The policy will consider all activities associated with the premises such as the No ID- NO Sale of alcohol and 'Challenge 21'. All staff bar staff will be trained on the policy in preventing underage sales All Naka Thai staff will be instructed to only accept photographic driving licences, passports or PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) cards approved as means of ID. If, however, we have to accept other forms of ID such as EU National ID cards, these must bear a photograph, date of birth. Naka Thai will prominently advertise the scheme in the premises so that customers are aware, in particular, display proof of age signs at the point of sale.
