  1. 1 . The CCTV system serving the premises shall: (a) be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; (b) make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and (c) show an accurate date and time that the images were made.
  2. All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and the original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person. Upon any such demand, the original, or a copy, of CCTV images shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
  3. No alcohol shall be sold at the premises if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
  4. At least one person holding a personal licence shall be on duty on the shop floor of the premises when alcohol is being sold.
  5. The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
  6. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
  7. The only forms of ID that shall be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; or c) UK photo driving licence; or other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority..
  8. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s), at the till and close to where alcohol is displayed for sale.
  9. A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which shall be recorded the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. This "challenge book", or other form of record, a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  10. In addition to the "challenge book" an incident log shall be maintained in which the details of any incidents of note that occur in the premises shall be recorded. This shall include thefts, disorder and ejections as a minimum. This "incident log", a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support .
  11. 10 The premises DPS shall regularly check both the "challenge book" and "incident log", so as to ensure all staff are using them. This check shall be evidenced by the DPS signing and dating the "challenge book" and "incident log" at the time the check is made.
  12. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every six months thereafter on: a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol, which shall include: i. operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. method of recording challenges; iv. likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sales; and d) the operation of the CCTV equipment. Such training shall be recoded and these records, a version of which must be kept in English, shall on request be made available to any police or community support office or authorised person upon demand.
  13. Signs shall be displayed inside and outside the premises warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18.
  14.
