  1. The CCTV system serving the premises shall: o be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; o make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; o show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made and all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days. The original CCTV recording, or a copy of it, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person. Copies of CCTV recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software. No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
  2. The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. Whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. The only acceptable forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: o proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; o passport; o UK photo driving licence; or o other ID with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position visible from within and outside the premises. Signs shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position, visible from both inside and outside of the premises, warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under 18 years of age. A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded.
  3. Each and every sale of alcohol shall be made only by a personal licence holder.
  4. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on: i) the prevention of underage sale of alcohol which shall include: o operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme o types of acceptable ID; o method of recording challenges; and o likely consequence of making an underage sale ii) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; Such training shall take place on induction, and at least twice a year thereafter. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police, community support or authorised Council officers immediately upon demand.
  5. The premises shall maintain a clear window policy (above 1.5m measured internally from the floor at the base of the window/door) so that staff have an unobstructed view of any activity occurring in the street outside of the premises. The exception to this shall be the display of notices requires either by law, or by a condition of this licence, to be in this location.
