Sale or Supply of Alcohol: Mon to Sat 08:00-23:00, Sun 10:00-22:30

For the purpose of paragraph 6(8) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 this licence is subject to the effect of restrictions contained in the Licensing Act 1964 and the Children and Young Persons Act 1933,which include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in the licensed premises;
ii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during the hours permitted under this licence, however this restriction does not prohibit:
During the first twenty minutes after the permitted hour, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
The ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the dispatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
The sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club; and
The sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty's naval, military or air forces;
iii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied to a canteen or mess
iv) No child shall be employed:
So long as he is under the age of fourteen years;
To do any work other than light work;
Before the close of school hours on any day on which he is required to attend school;
Before seven o'clock in the morning or after seven o'clock in the evening on any day;
For more than two hours on any day on which he is required to attend school;
For more than two hours on any Sunday;
Five hours in any day on which he is not required to attend school, and which is not a Sunday;
For more than thirty-five hours or, if he is under the age of fifteen years, for more than twenty-five hours in any week in which he is not required to attend school;
For more than four hours in any day without a rest break of one hour; or
At any time in a year unless at that time he has had, or could still have, during a period in the year in which he is not required to attend school, at least two consecutive weeks without employment.
No sale of alcohol shall be made unless the designated premises supervisor or a personal licence holder is present on the premises.
The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a) be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b) make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c) show an accurate date and time that the images were made.. d) All images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and the original CCTV images, or a copy , shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person. e) The original, or a copy, of CCTV images shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software. f) No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
At least two members of staff shall be on duty on the shop floor every Friday and Saturday between the hours of 6pm (18.00 hours) and closing time.
The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance. The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) EU/UK photo driving licence; or d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded.
The "challenge book", or other form of record, a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter. a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i. operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. method of recording challenges; iv. likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sales; Such training shall be recorded a version of which must be kept in English and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
