  1. The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the images were made;
  2. All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 28 days in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
  3. The original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person within 48 hours of a request having been made.
  4. No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
  5. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the retail entrance to the premises and inside at the premises servery area.
  6. Signs shall be displayed inside and at the entrance of the premises facing outwards so as to be read from the outside warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18.
  7. In the event that an employee suspects that a person attempting to purchase alcohol is under the age of 25 or is attempting a proxy purchase they will immediately call the duty manager. The duty manager will make appropriate enquiries and will determine whether the sale should be permitted.
  8. A Duty Manager will be present on the premises at all times when it is opened to the public. All Duty Managers will either hold a personal licence or will be working towards a personal licence.
  9. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter on a. the terms, conditions and restrictions of the premises licence; and b. the prevention of unlawful sales of alcohol, and the likely consequence of making an unlawful sale, which shall include: i. the operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. the method of recording challenges; and iv. refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; and v. preventing proxy sales. Such training shall be recorded, a version of which must be kept in English, and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person immediately upon demand.
  10. Alcohol will not be sold in open container and the consumption of alcohol on the premises will not be permitted.
  11. No customers carrying open alcoholic drinks will be permitted on the premises.
  12. No super-strength beer, lager or cider of 6% ABV or above shall be sold at the premises other than speciality/ artisan beer, lager or cider.
  13. The Licence Holder shall carry out regular risk assessments regarding the display and sale of spirits. Security tagging will be used on selected products where necessary. A written record of the risk assessment and any rationale will be kept for at least 6 months and will be available for inspection by the Police and the Licensing Authority.
