Licence conditions (20)
- The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a) be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b) make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c) show an accurate date and time that the images were made.
- All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
- The original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person within 72 hours of a request having been made.
- No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
- All staff shall be fully trained in their responsibilities with regard to the sale of alcohol, and shall be retrained every six months. Recorded training records shall be kept for inspection.
- The premises will not stock any beers or ciders over a ABV of 6%.
- All alcohol will only be available to purchase whilst seated at the tables provided.
- The designated premises supervisor will keep an up to date designated premises supervisor authorisation sheet which will show the list of staff members who have been given the authority to sell alcohol on the premises.
- There shall be no entry or re-entry to the premises after 24:00 hours.
- Signs shall be displayed inside and outside of the premises warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 and that 16 and 17 year olds will not be served beer, cider or wine with their meal.
- Clear and legible signage shall at all times be prominently displayed by way of a notice at the entrance/exit doors reminding customers to please leave the premises quietly and have consideration for the neighbouring properties.
- The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be "Challenge 25". The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons age 18 years or over, any person who appears to be under the age of 25 shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
- The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: (a) passport; (b) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; (c) UK photo driving licence; or (d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority. If the customer is unable to provide an acceptable form of ID then no sale shall be made.
- Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrances and inside the bar servery area.
- Any staff member under the age of 18 shall call a member of staff 18 years or over to take over the sale of alcohol and complete the transaction. All refused sales will be recorded in a refusals book, which shall be made available for inspection by Police or Licensing Officer of the Council on request.
- A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. The book or other form record, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
- No entertainment of an adult style or nature shall take place at the premises.
- If it is known that a customer intends to purchase alcohol to provide to minors the sale shall be refused and all refused sales shall be recorded in a refusals book which shall be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the Council or Police on request.
- No children shall be allowed on the premises after 22.00 hours except when accompanying an adult collecting a takeaway order.
- Signage shall be displayed at the entrance/exit doors informing customers that no alcohol is permitted to be taken outside the premises. (Conditions 1 and 2 above were imposed by the Licensing Committee on 15 March 2017)
