Licence conditions (18)
  1. General Conditions
  2. All staff engaged in the sale of alcohol will be trained in Responsible Retailing within 4 weeks of commencing employment at the premises. This training can be administered in-house. Training records shall be kept on the premises and produced to the Police/Local Authority on request. Training should be reviewed every 6 months to ensure that staff are up to date with the latest legislation and their training records endorsed accordingly.Training will also include age verification procedures, conflict management, customer safety, emergency procedures, evacuation and accident reporting.   3. CCTV will be in operation outside at the front and rear of the premises. Images will be capable of being kept for a minimum of 28 days and will be made available to the police and/or an officer of the Licensing Authority upon request. A staff member who is able to operate the system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open to the public. This staff member will be able to show recordings to Police or an Authorised Officer with minimum delay when requested and be able to download video onto a disc or memory stick, which can be played back on a computer or other digital retrieval system, within 24 hours of a request for download. The CCTV system will be regularly checked to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
  4. There will be a refusals register kept on the premises at all times. The register will detail any age challenge and/or refusal. Such matters will detail date, time and a signature by the author. The register will be made available to the police and an officer of a Responsible Authority upon request.
  5. Challenge 25 will be in operation. Credible ID such as a photo driving licence or passport will be accepted. Public Safety
  6. The premises will comply with all fire safety and health & safety requirements, including regular risk assessments.
  7. Fire exits will be kept clear and clearly marked at all times. Emergency lighting and fire equipment will be maintained and tested regularly.
  8. Maximum occupancy limits will be observed and managed by staff.
  9. First aid provisions will be available on site.
  10. The premises will be kept clean, well-lit, and free from hazards to ensure customer safety. Prevention of Public Nuisance
  11. Notices will be displayed at exit points requesting that customers leave quietly and respect local residents. Protection of children from Harm
  12. A responsible adult must accompany any children attending any events at all times.
  13. The premises will operate a Challenge 25 age-verification policy. Any person who appears under the age of 25 will be required to produce valid photographic identification (passport, UK driving licence, or PASS-approved proof of age card). 3.Prominent signage will be displayed advising customers of the Challenge 25 policy.
  14. A refusals register will be maintained and regularly reviewed by management.
  15. All staff will receive training on underage sales prevention, recognising false ID, safeguarding awareness, and their responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003. Training records will be kept and refreshed regularly.
  16. Alcohol will not be displayed or promoted in a way that is attractive to children.
  17. Children will be accompanied by a responsible adult where appropriate, and access to certain areas of the premises (if applicable) will be restricted.
  18. The premises will work in partnership with Police and Trading Standards to prevent underage sales and safeguard children from harm.
