Licence conditions (20)
  1. The premises licence holder shall ensure that a training package is in place in order for all staff involved with the sale, supply or delivery of alcohol to be sufficiently trained in licensing matters proportionate to their role and responsibilities.
  2. Particular attention should be paid to underage sales / ID verification and the refusal of alcohol sales to drunk persons.
  3. Records shall be kept of this training, dated and signed by the staff member and trainer.
  4. Refresher training shall be completed at least every 6 months again with documented records that are available for Police inspection.
  5. A written record shall be retained at the premises that lists the staff members who have been authorised to sell alcohol following their training.
  6. This shall also be made available to the Police on request.
  7. The premises licence holder shall ensure that a refusals book / incident book or log is maintained at the premises that will include any incident where underage or drunk customers are refused alcohol sales or deliveries and any other incidents of note that may occur.
  8. These records shall be retained for a minimum of 1 year and be made available to the Police and other responsible authorities upon request.
  9. The Premises Licence Holder will ensure that CCTV is in place and recording at all times licensable activity is taking place on the premises.
  10. This must be of a standard acceptable to the local Police Licensing dept.
  11. There shall be sufficient cameras to cover the primary customer areas which shall include cameras covering the entrance and exit.
  12. Footage from the CCTV system must be retained for a minimum of 28 days.
  13. This must be made available in a format that can be viewed by the Police and must be given to them and other responsible authorities on request via the premises licence holder's centralised loss prevention team.
  14. There must always be a staff member on duty that is able to competently operate the CCTV system and be able to show footage when required by the Police or other responsible authorities.
  15. The system must have an accurate time and date display and will be working at all times when licensable activity is taking place.
  16. In the event of technical failure of the CCTV equipment the DPS, Premises Licence Holder or representative must report the failure to the local Police immediately.
  17. The premises licence holder shall ensure that a system is in place to ensure that every individual who appears to be under 25 years of age seeking to purchase or be supplied with alcohol at or from the premises, shall produce acceptable means of identification and age confirmation.
  18. Acceptable identification shall be a passport, photo driving licence or PASS accredited photo ID.
  19. If the person seeking alcohol is unable to produce acceptable means of identification, no sale or supply of alcohol will be made to or for that person.
  20. Till prompts are in use at the store to remind staff to ask for proof of age.
