Licence conditions (10)
- General — all four licensing objectives
- 1. The DPS will be on site at all times when licenable activities are taking place. The DPS will work closely with the head of security, the head of stewards and the bar manager to ensure the sale and consumption of alcohol is carried out safely. 2. Security will be provided by a professional security consultancy sub-contractor. They will provide SIA licensed security at a minimum ratio of 75:1 (Attendees : Security) with 2 supervisors. 3. The event is strictly over 18. ID's will be checked on the door. The security will carry out body scans with wands and bag checks upon patrons arrivals. 4. The premise holder shall notify the events team and SAG at St Albans council with their intentions and intended dates no later than 6 month prior to the proposed dates.
- The prevention of crime and disorder
- 5. We will be carrying out body scans and bag checks upon entry. 6. Stewards in hi-vis vests will be situated outside the tent, directing the flow of people, reducing any noise and being a presence as people enter and leave the event. 7. There will be a security presence outside the premise on ingress and egress to mitigate any anti-social behaviour. 8. Security will be situated in multiple locations around the tent, at the exits and will be walking around the site, this way should any problems it will be spotted straight away and the appropriate measures will be taken. 9. The police will be called to avoid any anti social behaviour escalating. 10. There will be a minimum of 6 x CCTV cameras covering the event site. A live stream will be fed to the site office for the event management to supervise and a copy of all footage can be made and sent to the police via usb or email if requested. 11. All alcohol and drug policies will be included in the staff training manual.
- Public safety
- 12. In general admissions, there is non-reserved seating so to avoid overcrowding, there is a 15% surplus of seating. 13. The VIP area will be allocated seating only. 14. All drinking glasses in which drinks are served shall be made of disposable plastic or toughened plastic. 15. Two first aiders will be on the premises at all times 16. All parts of the premises will be adequately illuminated. 17. There will be a minimum of 500:1 ratio of attendees to First attenders on site. 18. There will be an emergency ambulance on site during event times. 19. Number on site will be tracked and monitored. 20. A suitable and sufficient front of stage barrier will be installed and signed off by a competent person.
- The prevention of public nuisance
- 21. All persons leaving the premises will be informed via signs and verbally to keep the noise down and respect the neighbours. 22. Patrons will not be permitted to leave the premises with any glass or drink which belong to the premises. 23. All music and entertainment will be turned down at 22.30 to limit noise pollution. All amplified music will be turned off at 23:00. 24. Local residents will be informed of the event prior to the event, informing them of the times, dates and nature of the event. 25. There will be a dedicated phone number for local residents to contact the event organisers with any queries or concerns.
- The protection of children from harm
- 26. This will be a strictly over 18s event. 27. IDs will be checked on the door, enforcing the challenge 25 scheme and anyone without ID will be refused entry 28. If anyone is found using a fake ID, it will be confiscated and police will be notified.
