- All events will be subject to the following public safety, prevention of public nuisance and protection of chrilden from harm. Staff will be trained for to implement Challenge 25 policy. Staff will be trained to recognise potential crime and disorder, The site has CCTV which is looked after by the aquaruim for both the event area and Shiver Me Timbers play park. Registered door staff will be hired for entertainment aimed at adullts when the bar will be in operation (Eg Maryport Live , Maryport Blues type event. Safe environment - Ensure premises are well-maintained and free from hazards , with clear pathways and adequate emergency exits. First Aid - Well-stocked first aid kit and ensure staff trained in basic first aid and emergency procedures Emergency procedures - Develop and regularly practice emergency procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans. Capacity Control - Ensure the premises does not become overcrowded, potentially posing a safety risk H&S Plan - We are currently drawing up a H&S policy for the genaral site activities with a suffix for specific events. Safeguarding - Any events for children will be covered by our safeguarding policy. Noise Management - Control noise levels, included using soundsproofing materials and limiting loud music or amplified sound Environmental Controls - premises is kept clean and tidy with adequate waste disposal facilities and measures to prevent littering Lighting - External lighting is kept to a minimum and does not cause a nuisance to neighboring residents Door Policy - Door Policy to prevent excessive queues or disturbances outside the premises. Toilets - Event area designed so that the adjacent toilet block on Irish street can utilised. For larger events we would hire in additional portaloos. To be assessed on an event by event basis.
