Licence conditions (30)

To remove any restrictions to be placed on the licence by virtue of Schedule 8, Para6(8) Licensing Act 2003 except for the restriction on permission to remain open for the carrying on of licensable activities from the end of permitted hours on New Years Eve to the commencement of permitted hours on the day following under the Licensing Act 1964.
The licensee is a member of the Pubwatch as long as it exists and operates an U25 policy as well as a drug awareness policy.
The staff to use their best endeavours to dissuade customers from drinking and driving. Poster to be displayed to discourage the same.
Training All staff involved in the sale or supply of alcohol will receive licensing training that includes appropriate precautions to prevent the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18, the signs and symptoms of drunkenness, the refusal of service due to intoxication and age verification policy.
Records will be kept of such training which must be signed and dated by the member of staff who has received that training.
All staff will receive refresher training every six months as a minimum and records are to be kept of this refresher training which should be signed and dated by the member of staff who received that training.
All training records will be kept at the premises. These records shall be made available to Police and/or Local Authority upon request and shall be kept for at least one year.
Authorisation for alcohol sale / supply.
A written record shall be retained at the bar area to list the staff that have been authorised to sell or supply alcohol following their training. This shall be made available to the Police upon request.
Refusal / incident log A refusals / ID checks / incident book or log shall be maintained by staff at the premises. These records shall be retained for a minimum of 1 year and be made available to the Police and other responsible authorities upon request.
CCTV will be installed at the premises.
Cameras will be sited to observe the entrance and exit doors, both inside and outside, the main bar area, full coverage of the garden, any dancing area, the car parking area and any external smoking area.
The CCTV system must be operating at all times whilst the premises are open for licensable activity. All equipment shall have a constant and accurate time and date generation.
Digital systems shall provide good quality, evidential images (a minimum of 6 frames per second). Recorded footage will be retained for a minimum of 28 days and will be made available to police immediately on request when investigating allegations of offences or criminal activity. A trained member of staff will able to operate the system and download images will be on duty during operating hours.
Any images recovered must be in a viewable format (disc / USB stick) and playable on a windows based computer system without the need for technical enhancement.
The CCTV system must be able to cope with strobe lighting and all levels of illumination throughout the premises as well as outside areas.
The entry door cameras shall be able to record a quality head and body shot of each person entering the venue.
Risk Assessment All public and private 'events or functions' are subject to a written Risk Assessment that shall include the date, times and nature of the event, the assessment of risk and the measures put in place to address any identified risks. All Risk Assessments shall be documented and retained for a minimum of 1 year and shall be made available for inspection by Police and Council officials upon request.
Alcohol consumption When alcohol is purchased as part of the ON licence, it must be consumed within the boundaries of the premises which can include the beer garden unless it is otherwise specified.
Glassware All drinking vessels including bottles are to be made of polycarbonate, aluminium or other unbreakable material. Alcohol and soft drinks that are not available in such drinking vessels including bottles shall be decanted into appropriate drinking vessels at the bar.
The occupancy level of 120 to be monitored by the licensee.
On events when live music is taking place to shut all windows and doors and staff to periodically check that they are closed, as check the outside noise levels to ensure they do not interfere with local residents.
Notices Prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayed at all public exits from the premises requesting customers respect the needs of local residents and leave the premises and area quietly. These notices shall be positioned at eye height and a location where those leaving the premises can read them.
Challenge 25 The premises will operate a Challenge 25 proof of age policy. Challenge 25 means that that every individual, who visually appears to be under 25 years of age and is seeking to purchase or be supplied with alcohol at the premises or from the premises, shall produce identification proving they are 18 years of age or older. Acceptable identification for the purposes of age verification will include a driving licence, passport, photographic identification bearing the "PASS" logo and Military ID. The ID shall include the person's date of birth. If the person seeking alcohol is unable to produce acceptable means of identification, no sale or supply of alcohol will be made to or for that person. 'Challenge 25' posters shall be displayed in prominent positions at the premises.
A noise limiter to be installed, the level to be set on the advice of the Environmental Health Team;
Windows and doors to be closed when regulated entertainment is taking place;
External patrols to be undertaken by management twice during the evening when regulated entertainment is taking place;
Notices to be put up both inside and outside the pub to enable both customers and local residents to be aware of forthcoming entertainments, the duration of the events and the date on which they will happen;
Regular consultation to take place with neighbouring residents on a quarterly basis;
All other provisions be in accordance with the amended operating schedule to the application as it is now submitted to the Sub Committee.
