  1. The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. Whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
  2. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises.
  3. The only acceptable forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport; c. UK photocard driving licence; or d. other ID with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority.
  4. A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. The "challenge book", or other form of record, shall be made available for inspection by any police, community support or authorised Council officers upon demand.
  5. All staff normally employed at the premises to sell alcohol shall receive training in the responsible retail of alcohol and on the operation of the premises CCTV system. Such training shall be provided on induction and thereafter not less than twice per year. Training shall be recorded and these records shall on request be made immediately available to any Police Officer, community support officer or authorised person on demand. The training shall include : a. Operation of the age verification scheme (Challenge 25); b. Types of acceptable ID; c. Method of recording challenges; d. Likely consequence of making an underage sale; e. Refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; and f. Operation of the CCTV system.
  6. The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and all persons entering the premises of their face and shoulders images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
  7. CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days, and the original, or a copy of the CCTV recording, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person. Copies of CCTV recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
  8. Adequate lighting, at a level to enable clear CCTV recordings to be made, shall be maintained to the exterior of the premises.
  9. No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
  10. Signs shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance and inside the premises near the point of sale warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18.
  11. A clear glazing policy above 1.2m, measured from the internal floor level, shall be kept at the premises so that staff have an unobstructed view of the area outside of the premises. The exception to this shall be the display of notices required by law and any required as a condition of this licence.
  12. The following alcoholic beverages shall be placed behind a staffed counter: a. mixed alcohol beverages under 10% a.b.v. b. all spirits in bottles less than 70cl.
  13. At least 2 members of staff shall be on duty on the shop floor between 22:00 hours until closing time.

Licensed hours are the most a premises may open or trade under its licence, not its actual opening times.
