Licence conditions (33)
  1. a) General - all four licensing objectives
  2. 1. There shall be no adult entertainment or services, activities, or other entertainment or matters ancillary to the use of the premises that may give rise to concern in respect of children.
  3. 2. The licence holder shall ensure that strong management controls are in place and effective training of all staff is undertaken so that they are aware of the premises licence and the requirements to meet the four licensing objectives with particular attention to
  4. i) Not selling of alcohol to underage people
  5. ii) No drunk and disorderly behaviour on the premises
  6. iii) Vigilance in preventing the use and sale of illegal drugs at the premises
  7. iv) No violent and anti-social behaviour
  8. v) No harm to children.
  9. 3. The designated premises supervisor shall be in day-to-day control of the premises and shall provide training for staff on the Licensing Act 2003. The designated premises supervisor shall also make or authorise each sale.
  10. 4. A training record will be kept in the premises.
  11. b) The prevention of crime and disorder
  12. 1. A CCTV system with a recording option shall be installed in the premises to monitor entrances, exits and other parts of the premises.
  13. 2. Customers will not be sought by means of personal solicitation outside or in the vicinity of the premises.
  14. 3. The licence holder will ensure prevention and vigilance in illegal drug use at the premises.
  15. 4. Staff will be trained to ask customers to use the premises in an orderly and respectful manner.
  16. c) Public Safety
  17. 1. Internal and external lighting shall be provided.
  18. 2. A log book or recording system shall be kept on the premises in which shall be entered particulars of inspections made, including those required to be made by statute, and information compiled to comply with any public safety condition attached to the premises licence
  19. 3. The log book shall be kept on the premises and made available for inspection when required by persons authorised under the Licensing Act 2003.
  20. 4. All parts of the premises and all fittings and apparatus therein, (including door fastenings, notices, lighting, heating, electrical equipment, air conditioning systems, sanitary accommodation and other installations) will be maintained at all times in good order and in a safe condition.
  21. d) The prevention of public nuisance
  22. 1. Noise reduction measures will be in place.
  23. 2. Prominent, clear and legible notices will be displayed at the exit from the premises requesting that customers respect the needs of nearby residents and leave the premises and the surrounding area quietly.
  24. 3. Deliveries of goods necessary for the operation of the business will be carried out at such a time or in such a manner so as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
  25. 4. The licence holder will ensure that staff who arrive early in the morning or depart late at night when the business has ceased training conduct themselves in such a manner to avoid causing disturbance to nearby residents.
  26. 5. Customers will be asked not to stand around loudly talking in the street outside the premises.
  27. 6. The movement of bins and rubbish outside the premises will be kept to a minimum after 23:00.
  28. 7. Any lighting on or outside the premises will be positioned and screened in such a way so as to not cause a disturbance to nearby residents.
  29. e) The protection of children from harm
  30. 1. A "Challenge 25" scheme shall be operated such that anyone who looks under 25 will be asked for acceptable ID before alcohol is sold to them. The acceptable forms of ID will be a card bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving licence or a passport.
  31. 2. "Challenge 25" signs shall be displayed in the premises.
  32. 3. Staff shall be trained in the requirement to ask for a person's identification and age establishment, with the details of the training entered in to a training record book that shall be kept in the premises and made available for inspection.
  33. 4. A log book shall be kept in the premises at all times.
