Licence conditions (12)
  1. The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a) be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b) make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol; c) show an accurate date and time that the images were made; d) all images shall be retained for a period of not less that 31 days and the original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person; e) The original, or a copy, of CCTV images shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software, and f) No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason. g) There shall be clear signage indicating that the CCTV equipment is in use and recording at the premises during trading hours.
  2. The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
  3. The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale and supply of alcohol shall be a: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) UK photo driving licence; or d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority
  4. A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. This book or record, a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  5. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s)/and inside at the premises at the point of sale.
  6. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every six months thereafter on the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i) operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii) types of acceptable ID; iii) method of recording challenges; iv) likely consequence of making an underage sale. v) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; vi) proxy sales; vii) the operation of the CCTV equipment; and Such training shall be recorded and these records, a version of which must be kept in English, shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  7. The premises shall not sell or stock any beers or ciders over an ABV of 6%.
  8. The premises shall be fitted with external shutters which shall be in use when the premises are closed to the public.
  9. The designated premises supervisor shall keep an up to date authorisation sheet that will show the list of staff members who have been given the authority to sell alcohol on the premises.
  10. A notice shall be displayed at the entrance/exit reminding customers to please leave the premises quietly.
  11. Any staff member under the age of 18 must call a member of staff 18 years or over, to take over the sale of alcohol and complete the transaction.
  12. If it is known that a customer intends to purchase alcohol to provide to minors the sale will be refused and all refused sales shall be recorded in a refusals book which will be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the Council or Police on request.
