Licence conditions (16)
- Every sale of alcohol shall be made or authorised by a person holding a personal licence
- All alcohol shall be placed behind a staffed counter within sight of staff at all times.
- Alcohol for consumption on the premises shall only be sold to persons having a table meal or those waiting to be seated prior to them having a table meal.
- The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a) be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b) make and return clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchaser of the alcohol; and c) Show an accurate date and time that the images were made.
- All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days, in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
- The Original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person within 72 hours of a request having being made.
- No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
- There shall be no more than 48 diners in the premises at any one time.
- Clear and legible signage shall at all times be prominently displayed advising customers to leave the premises quietly.
- Notices advertising that the premises operate a 'Challenge 25' scheme shall be displayed in a clear and permanent position at the premises.
- A book, or other form of record shall be kept, in which shall be recorded the date, the time and circumstances of the following: a) Any challenge made in accordance with the 'Challenge 25' scheme; and b) Any disorder, ejection or other relevant incident that occurs on the premises. This book, or record shall be kept on the premises at all times they are open and shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person.
- All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training from the DPS, on induction and every 6 months thereafter on: a. the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: I. the operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; II. types of acceptable ID; III. the method of recording challenges; and IV. the likely consequence of making an underage sale, b. refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c. proxy sales; d. the operation of the CCTV equipment; and e. drug awareness, which shall include training on the drugs policy applicable to the premises.
- Such training shall be recorded and these records shall be made available to any police officer, PCSO or authorised person immediately upon demand.
- Where a customer aged 18 years or over indicates that they are purchasing alcohol for a 16 or 17 year old to drink with their meal, the 16 or 17 year old shall also be required to produce a valid proof of age.
- The regulated entertainment by means of recorded music shall only be provided as background music.
- No entertainment services or activities of an adult nature shall be provided at the premises.
