Licence conditions (15)

The Licence holder shall host meetings every three months with local residents and the Responsible Authorities to address any concerns raised regarding the use of the premises. Records shall be maintained and available for inspection with regard to attempts to hold such meetings.
No sale of alcohol shall be made under this Licence unless the sale is made by the designated premises supervisor or the holder of a personal licence. (CONDITIONS 1 AND 2 ABOVE WERE IMPOSED BY THE LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE DATES 19 APRIL 2010)
Signs shall be displayed inside and outside the premises warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of eighteen
At all times when the premises operate under the terms of the premises licence CCTV system shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order; b. serve both the inside and outside of the premises and make and retain clear images that include all points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
All CCTV recordings shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days.
CCTV recordings shall be made available for viewing by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand and if requested the original, or a copy, shall be provided forthwith.
Copies of CCTV recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV system is inoperative for any reason.
Alcoholic drinks shall be displayed for sale only in those locations marked 3 (spirits), 4 (wine/beer) and 5 (alcohol cooler) on the plan attached to the licence at Annex 4.
A contact telephone number shall be displayed in a prominent position outside of the premises advising residents who they should contact if they have concerns about the operation of the licence.
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises and the only ID accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport; c. UK photo driving licence; or d. other form of ID as agreed with the Licensing Authority
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training at least every six months on: i) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: a) operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme b) types of acceptable ID c) method of recording challenges; and d) likely consequence of making an underage sale; ii) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; iii) proxy sales; iv) the operation of the CCTV equipment. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall on request be made available to any Police, Community Support or authorised Council officers immediately upon demand
A Challenge book, or similar record, shall be kept at the premises in which must be recorded forthwith the date, time and circumstances under which any attempted purchase of alcohol by a young customer has been refused together with any other incidents relating to the sale of alcohol. This book or other form of record must be made immediately available for inspection by any Police officer, community support officer or an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority upon demand.
All containers of alcohol sold in accordance with this Licence shall be marked with a label identifying the premises and accompanied by a receipt showing the name and address of the premises.
A "clear window" policy above 1½ meters shall be kept at the premises so that staff have an unobstructed view of the area outside the premises. The exception to this shall be the display of notices required by law and any required as a condition of this licence.
