Licence conditions (14)

A comprehensive, digital CCTV system, which meets Home Office standards, shall be installed in all public areas (including external areas).
A Challenge 25 policy shall be implemented for on-site sales, to prevent underage sales and access to alcohol.
Staff shall be trained to identify and prevent alcohol-related crimes such as underage drinking and proxy sales. All staff must be trained to recognise signs of vulnerability in young people and be aware of how to report concerns about these matters.
Staff shall monitor customer consumption and encourage responsible drinking by offering water and low-alcohol/no-alcohol alternatives.
Staff shall be trained in first aid and a well-stocked first aid kit shall be kept on-site.
A close working relationship with Cumbria police shall be maintained, with open sharing of information and concerns regarding the licensing objectives. Any complaints from the local community shall be promptly addressed and open communication with nearby residents maintained.
Regular risk assessments shall be carried out to identify and mitigate potential hazards on the premises.
Adequate light levels shall be maintained on site.
There shall be clear signage and well-maintained emergency exits.
All glassware and other potential hazards shall be promptly cleared to reduce the risk of accidents.
There shall be a clear policy implemented that specifies age limits and supervision requirements for unaccompanied children in the taproom.
All staff must be trained to recognise signs of vulnerability in young people and be aware of how to report concerns about these matters.
The licence holder or his/her representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents.
A written record of the noise assessments shall be made in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results, including any remedial action.
