  1. At all times when the premises operate under the terms of the premises licence the CCTV cameras serving the premises shall: o be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; o make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and the facial images of the purchasers of alcohol; and o show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
  2. All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and shall be made available for viewing by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  3. The CCTV images/recordings shall be regularly reviewed by the Designated Premises Supervisor to ensure that any sales of alcohol made during any period they are absent from the premises have been conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 and the conditions of the licence.
  4. An original, or a copy, of the CCTV images/recordings shall be provided upon demand to any police, community support or authorised Council officers. Copies shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
  5. No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
  6. The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years and over, anyone who appears to be under the age of 25 years of age shall be asked to produce a valid proof of age. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises and also placed on the door to the premises so that it is visible from the outside.
  7. The only proof of age accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a proof of age card bearing the: o "PASS" hologram logo; o a passport; or o an EU photo full driving licence.
  8. A refusals book, or similar record, shall be kept at the premises in which must be recorded forthwith the date, time and circumstances under which any attempted purchase by a young customer has been refused. This book, or other form of record, must be made available for inspection by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
  9. Clear and permanent notices shall be displayed both inside and outside the premises stating that it is an offence for persons to buy alcohol for children under the age of 18 years.
  10. All alcoholic spirits shall be displayed for sale behind the counter at all times.
  11. Staff shall receive regular training on the prevention of underage sales. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall, on request, be made available to the Licensing Authority.
