Licence conditions (19)
  1. Supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises
  2. - A club premises certificate may not authorise the supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises unless it also authorises the supply of alcohol to a member of the club for consumption on those premises.
  3. - A club premises certificate which authorises the supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises must include the following conditions:-
  4. (i) the supply of alcohol must be made at a time when the premises are open for the purposes of supplying alcohol, in accordance with the club premises certificate, to members of the club for consumption on the premises.
  5. (ii) Any alcohol supplied for consumption off the premises must be in a sealed container.
  6. (iii) Any supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises must be made to a member of the club in person.
  7. Permitted Hours
  8. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
  9. In this condition, permitted hours means:
  10. On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  11. On Sundays, other than Christmas Day, 10 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
  12. On Christmas Day, 12 noon to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
  13. On Good Friday, 8 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
  14. The above restrictions do not prohibit:
  15. (a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
  16. (b) the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
  17. (c) the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
  18. (d) the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty's naval, military or air forces;
  19. Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in the licensed premises.

Licensed hours are the most a premises may open or trade under its licence, not its actual opening times.
