  1. Permitted hours
  2. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
  3. In this condition, permitted hours means:
  4. On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Year's Eve, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  5. On Sundays, other than Christmas Day or New Year's Eve, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
  6. On Good Friday, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
  7. On New Year's Eve, except on a Sunday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  8. On New Year's Eve on a Sunday, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
  9. On New Year's Eve from the end of permitted hours to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
  10. On Christmas day, as provided by the rules of the club and notified in writing by the chairman or secretary of the club to the chief executive of the justices for the petty sessions area in which the premises are. The said hours shall:
  11. not exceed six and a half hours;
  12. ii. not begin earlier than 12 noon;
  13. iii. not end later than 10.30 p.m.
  14. iv. provide for a break of at least 2 hours, including 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.;
  15. not extend for more than three and a half hours after 5 p.m.
  16. The above restrictions do not prohibit:
  17. (a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises;
  18. (b) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
  19. (c) during the first thirty minutes after the above hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied as ancillary to the meals;
  20. (d) the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
  21. Private Entertainment
  22. Dancing, music or other entertainment of the like kind which is not a public entertainment but which is promoted for private gain is permitted without any hours limitation
  23. Protection of children
  24. If more than one hundred persons under 14 ("juniors") are attending an entertainment for juniors or an entertainment at which the majority of those attending are juniors, there shall be sufficient adult attendants, properly instructed as to their duties:
  25. (a) to prevent more juniors or other persons being admitted to the building or part thereof than the building or part can properly accommodate; and
  26. (b) to control the movement of juniors and other persons admitted while entering and leaving the building or part; and
  27. to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of the children
  28. No person under the age of 17 years shall take part in any performance in which his life or limbs are endangered.
